Just a thought, why wouldn't you want her to go to kindergarten where she will go to elementary school? That way she will make friends with the kids that she will grow up with.
We are looking at private full-day Kindergartens for our daughter for 2010-11 school year, and was wondering if anyone has sent their child to either Chesterbrook Academy on Ogden Ave in Lisle or to First Congregational United Church of Christ "Family Life" on Curtis St in Downers Grove. What did you think of the program? How is your child doing in 1st grade - were they appropriately prepared? Are there any other full day private kindergartens near DG that we should consider? Thanks for input!
Side note, we have reason for sending her to a full day program rather than where she will go to grade school (half day program), but it is a long story and no reason to share. Please only respond if you have experience with these 2 schools that we are looking at. Thanks so much!

Saints Peter and Paul and All Saints Catholic Academy (both in Naperville) both have all day kindergarten. We go to SSPP and love it, but we weren't transitioning into the public school system after one year. Also, SSPP is popular and there is usually a wait list. Priority is given first to families who already have students at the school, then to parishioners, then to residents of Naperville, then to others. Curriculum is very Catholic, so I don't think you would like it if you were not Catholic, but I think the academics are very good. The process has already begun for next year so if you are interested you should call right away. Also, Creme de la Creme daycare has an all day kindergarten on site -- they are in Warrenville on Diehl Road near the Canterra movie theaters.

My daughter was enrolled at the Chesterbrook in Westmont for their toddler program. She was at the facility for about 7 months and we pulled her out. I was not impressed. It seems they are good academically but are missing the personal touch. When my daughter cried when I left they didn't help me out with the transition or comfort her. They have TONS of special treat day. In the toddler classroom she had doughnuts for breakfast and chocolate chip cookies for snack. I have heard tons of different things about their programs and for us it didn't work. Good luck
