It's legal but you need to have the air bags disabled. On newer trucks you can do this yourself, they often have a switch than can be operated with the key. Older cars you need to take to the dealership to have them disable it.
Is it legal to have a car seat in a truck? What are your thoughts on doing it if it is?
TIA!

I think one of the concerns is with airbags.... car seats should not be in the seat where airbags can deflate, if I remember correctly.

If you can disable the airbag on that side, then it should be fine.
It is legal to have a carseat in a truck. In the middle is safest and be sure that airbag is off.
no its not illegal. As long as there is a seat belt to properly fasten the car seat in it then its perfectly fine.
When my ex and I were married we only had one car and one truck and worked opposite work schedules so we had one set in my car and one set in his truck.
I don't see anything wrong with it as long as its properly put in and fastened!
The fire stations will check this out for you.
