Hello! I need to buy a new carseat for my 3 year old son who is outgrowing his. I am looking for a carseat that he can use from now until he no longer needs one. What brands do you have and love? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Britax makes a seat that can keep him in a 5 point harness till he's 85lbs and you can use it as a high back booster up to 120lbs. That should get him thru! Had it been available when I got my son his Britax back in 2008, that's the seat I would have jumped on.

We have 3 Britax seats and I love them!

I have the Britax Frontier 85 for 2 of my children. My tall 8 year old still fits in the 5 pt harness comfortably. It harnesses from 25-85 lbs or up to 57 inches tall. Then, it converts to a booster seat until 120 lbs. Obviously it is the last car seat that would be needed. Both of my children say it is comfortable. It is easy to adjust the height and the straps. Also, it was very easy to install in my Toyota Sienna. The only thing that could be a problem for someone is that it is big/heavy. It wouldn't be easy to switch between cars often.

We love our Graco Nautilus! It has the 5-pt harness up to 65lbs and then converts to high back booster, then on to backless booster. Our little girl is 3.5 and it's the last seat we'll have to buy for her...and the price was right too...only $150!

I love our Graco Nautilus. Our son is three and it will be the last seat we'll need to buy for him.

We went with the Safety First Apex for the gparents cars.

At 3 he still needs a harnessed car seat. Look for the Graco Nautilus or the Britax Frontier.

Love the Britax Frontier...have 1 for each car. Babies R Us always has a 20% off coupon. Totally worth the money!!

Another vote for the Nuatilus. I loved that even though dd was 4 and could be in a booster I could keep her in the 5point harness longer. I loved that I could switch between the harness and seatbelt to train her how to sit properly in the high back booster. I loved that if she just wasn't listening that day to keep sitting upright in the booster I could pull over and put the shoulder straps back in and make it a 5 point harness again.

And, much to my daughter's pure joy.....it has cup holder!! And cubbies on each side for her little treasures!!!
