I freeze it all the time. put it in either individual size containers to pull out for random lunches and or chili dogs or in bigger containers for the whole family. I make huge batches of chili and also of beef stew for just that reason
I made a huge batch of chili tonight, I know we cant eat it all this weekend before we are burned out on chili, so I was wondering if it freezes well so I could save some for future lunches for my husband and myself. Thanks Ladies - J.
Thanks for all the answers ladies I put in a baggie and tossed it in the freezer !

it freezes very well. and i second Cheryl O. about putting it in a big ziploc bag, if you put it in a plastic container it will ruin the container.
Chili freezes quite nicely!!
Yep, and if you freeze it flat in freezer bags it won't even take up much room in your freezer!
I freeze it all the time!
Yes chili freezes very well and can keep for quite a while. YUM...that really makes me want to make a big batch now!
YES! One our freezer staples. So easy and delicious - especially when paired with a quick batch of cornbread. Enjoy!
YES!!! I've got some in the freezer right now. Just make sure you freeze it in the portions that you'll want to thaw in the future. I actually freeze it in tupperware that is just big enough for one serving. Just put the lid on it and stick it in the freezer. I don't do anything special to it.
I freeze it in Tupperware all the time!
YES. You can either use plastic containers or plastic freezer bags. I would go with the bags, as the tomatoe stains the plastic.
Yes, and if you do use the plastic containers. to clean the stain out, place a bit of bleach and soapy water in there.. Viola! All clean again.
Yes. Put a serving size portion in a zip lock type baggie and toss in the freezer. When you want one for lunch, warm it in the baggie for one minute in the microwave, then remove from the baggie and place in a bowl and heat to the desired temp and eat.
Good luck to you and yours.
YES!!! I would put it in a ziploc bag - but YES!!!
