Hello, I am planning a BAB party for my oldest daughter. Questions, how much should we spend? Is $20 too little? We are thinking of $25, as $30 seems too much. Also, we are planning on doing cupcakes afterwards, do you think that is enough? We weren't planning on any other food or goody bags. Thoughts? Trying to keep it economically feasbile, but nice and FUN!!! Thanks!!

And the time is from 2-330p.

Thanks for all the responses thus far!! :) I am thinking of staying with $20.

What can I do next?

I think $20 and cupcakes is perfectly fine.
And heaven's no-no goody bags!!!
They get to make a stuffed animal for Pete's sake! ;)
I actually think the $20 and under selection are cuter than the more expensive ones.
Whatever you do-$30 is WAY too much.
Nice and fun. :)

We have done two BAB parties, and the bear IS the goody bag! I also spent the minimum, whatever that is, I guess it's $20 (?) And yes cupcakes are PLENTY, just don't have the party during lunchtime and the kids/parents won't expect you to feed them a meal. Have fun :)

We did this last year for my daughter. She only wanted a small party so we invited her closest friends. We made pizza at home and then had frozen yogurt after... but there were only 5 kids total.

Most of the girls chose a bear that was around $20. Some asked for clothes too, but we didn't do that and they were happy anyway. I think from what you're describing cupcakes are plenty!!

Have fun!

$20 is enough, and the person handling your party will guide your daughter and guests to those items. They can pick a less expensive bear/animal if they want to get clothing, that's what some of the girls did at my granddaughters' party.

Cupcakes are fine, they're getting a $20 goodie bag ; )

I have no clue price wise since I don't know exactly how much build a bear costs, but it also greatly depends on how many kids are invited. What if one child chooses an expensive outfit for their toy? So you need to decide on those things in advance. But serving cupcakes (and maybe juice boxes) and no other food sound perfect to me so long as you aren't having the party at the peak of a regular meal time where kids may arrive expecting to be fed.

We recently had a party there. $20 is more than enough. The party guides will pull the clothes ahead of time. We had no goody bags. People who do cake and ice cream usually do parties 2-4pm or something like that. You can say cupcakes afterward, so no one is expecting to be fed. GL!

You are definitely going to be broke by the time this is all said and done. My friend did the same thing, she unintentionally spent $200 there! I recently did a few parties that involved t-shirt decorating. I bought the permanent fabric paint, all colors and glitter and fabric markers. The kids loved it. I did it for a 4 year old party and a 12 year old party. Both of my girls and their friends had so much fun with it. Good luck whatever you choose!
