The milk is not bad. Your supply at this point will be low but you can get it back. Contact a lactation consultant and they'll get you on track. Call the hospital you delivered at first. Depending on the hospital, it could be free. There is also Kellymom.com or http://www.llli.org/ (La Leche League).

You sure can try.
The milk doesn't go bad when it's still in your body :)

I say try it out...you might have "Dried" up but if you did you can talk to your dr. about things that might be able to bring it back.

Yes! You can. Talk to a lactation consultant. I wouldn't have been about to nurse my oldest daughter without their advice. Also, here is some info - http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/relactation.html

I don't know the answer to your ? BUT I can say I breastfeed both of mine for over 1 year and after I weaned them I definatly still had milk after 3 months. Contact the local hospital and find a lactation specialist or call or google La Leche League. I've heard stories of women that have produced milk for adopted babies! Maybe not bottles of it but some. Good Luck :)

Like others have said, you most certainly can breastfeed after a period of not breastfeeding. If you need help, WIC has free lactation consultants. Drs can prescribe things to help too, if you end up needing it.

Good luck!

You may have to supplement at first while you are building a supply. As far as it going bad - it won't. Your body will constantly replenish. Try latching the baby on before giving a bottle and see what happens. That may be all the stimulation you need, or you may need to take a Rx to get the supply back up. Good luck.
