I don't know where you are, but the Lactation Services at
Mercy Hospital in Miami are EXCELLENT! there are classes for siblings to attend as well & they most certainly could tell you about what pump to get :-)
Hello Everyone! I'm about 7 weeks pregnant and I'm already researching for an excellent Breast Pump but can't seem to make up my mind. There are so many out there that are good. I'm looking for one that is Hospital Grade and no more than $300. If you have any suggestions please forward them to me.
Also, i'm also trying to find free breastfeeding & sibling classes to attend.
Thanks!

Hello,
I used a Medela electric double pump. It costed $300 2 years ago, but I used it for over 10 months with both of my kids. It was great. Definately worth the money. Pumped in 10 minutes.
Yay, for breastfeeding. You'd be surprised how many moms don't.
FYI not everyone responds to a breast pump. My sil has this fancy high grade pump and she does not repond to it. I have a $35 electic pump and i can get up to 8oz per side with it.
As for the free classes look for a birthing center. The parents have to take parenting classes in order to give birth there and some of then offer the classes to all parents to be.
I am not sure where you are but http://miamibirth.com/ offers the classes and they are in north miami.
the 'medela pump in style' rocks, and it has a battery pack so you can use it on the go if need be.
