Hi,
I gave birth to my son in December and my husband and I have only had a sex a few times since. However, last night we did and I started to bleed this afternoon. I am still breastfeeding but am wondering if this is a period as I have not had one since. Or, could the bleeding be attributed to sex? My doctor's office is closed tomorrow so I will give him a call then but I was curious to know if anyone has experienced this. Thanks so much!!

Of course see your dr if you are concerned. My husband always tries to "jump start" my period..sex does that for alot of women.

I don't mean to be an alarmist, but you should go to the ER if your PCP is not available. You could have hemorrhaged, or tore something. This could cause you to bleed to death, your child needs you. Get to the ER for treatment. My prayers are with you and your family. Good Luck.
The movement probably stimulated the uterus- if there is no pain or fever I wouldn't worry about it.
I can tell you that I had my period with my son at 6 month and was breastfeeding and then had my period with my daughter who I was also only breastfeeding at 2 months...so it could be. I would just call and talk to your obs nurse when the office opens.
