I was wondering if it would be appropriate to wear a black dress to my baby shower. It is the only maternity dress I have and I can't afford to go buy something new. It is a really cute wrap dress. Could I dress it up with some colorful jewelry or some silver jewelry? Should I just wear capris & a shirt? Help! Thanks
I wore black pants and a black, raspberry and cream flowered wrap top to mine because it looked good on! Go for it!

A black dress is perfect - but I am a New Yorker and from what I hear, we wear too much black.
hmmm, which will go better with the toilet paper they are going to wrap around your tummy and the the present bows and ribbons they are going to stick to your head or make into a hat? Joking aside, I do think you should wear some pretty jewelry and makeup. There will be a lot of pictures taken of you. Comfy shoes.

Girl, it's your party! To my shower I wore black shirt and tight (maternity)jeans because I felt like a sexy diva, and my bejeweled black platforms matched perfectly!
(I do like the idea of the silver jewelry, though, just 'cause that seems kinda chic and will look good in photos. Only do it if you feel it.)

Wear what you think is most adorable and comfortable. The wrap dress and colorful jewelry sounds cute, so do the capris. Which ever you feel most flattered in since there will probably be pictures taken... that would be my choice.
