There are really cute ideas called "muffin tin lunches." This will probably be completely different from what she is used to. Do a search on google for "muffin tin lunches" to get some ideas.
Hello,
Today is my daughters 7th bday and I would like to make her a dinner of her delight. She likes piggys in a blanket but I don't know what to use as a side dish? Any suggestions?
Also if you could give me any new main course ideas that would be helpful as well. Thank you

You could do cheese eggs and fruit salad with the pigs in a blanket. That sounds yummy to me! :)
Hi D..S How about sliced fruit, you have your meat, your starch, so why not fruit my kids always loved home made fruit salad. J.
When I would make pigs in a blanket in the fall or winter, I would make pork and beans and macaroni and cheese. A good vegi is coleslaw or just a green salad.
Make the piggies in a blanket b/c she's right, they are delicious! That's a protein (sort of) and a starch, so stick to a green veggie that she likes- broccoli, asparagus?
Corn on the cob, and fresh fruit, would be good with pigs in a blanket. You can do kabobs with it for the main course, steak/chicken or shrimp, with mushrooms, onion, bell pepper and pineapple.
A fun one would be dinner in a pumpkin! You can play around with the recipe to make it more stew style, or jambalaya style with sausage and such. You can cut away the pumpkin bowl as you sevre and eat it too, it's good and very healthy.

With pigs in a blanket if it is what I think it is (sausage wraped in pancake) then some yogurt and my son loves fresh cut strawberries drizzled with a bit of honey and fresh mint.
2cups cut strawberries
1tsp honey
1 or 2 sprig fresh mint smashed
mix up and let sit in the fridge for an hour or two then take out the mint sprig(s) most kids wont eat the mint if they see it and plate.
You can also add Granola to the strawberry mix if you like.
Granola Bars are good choices too or Oatmeal!
We make whatever they want - so if they want ice cream sundaes for dinner, I'm good with that! It's once a year. Haha - my kids are weird though. They love salad and veggies!! So we always do a veggie...but we normally do ma-n-cheese, fries, tator tots, baked beans, chips, something like that as a side with pigs-in-a-blanket.
This is a really fun dish to make for a little girl b/c it's pink, really delicious and super easy! http://weelicious.com/2009/06/08/red-beet-white-bean-hummus/
