I am looking for someone to do a custom cake for my child's 4th Birthday, 4/12/08. It is a castle cake that would match her invitation and I would be happy to email them the photo.
Thank you all so very much. I am getting quotes from several of your suggestions. And, found some other folks out in Weatherford as well that look great.

I have the best cake lady ever. I have used Sweet Imaginations in the past but changed over the ____@____.com when my daughters got married. She did brides and grooms cakes for both my daughters and just about everyone at the weddings wanted her name. She does better decorating than who I was using before but what sold me on her was that her cakes are better. They have a very homemade taste and her icing is way better than the usual bakery icing. She's great!!!
I would love to talk to you or anyone about a custom cake. Feel free to e-mail me directly at ____@____.com or call me at ###-###-####.
I am just starting out in the cake biz and would love to talk cake flavors, decor, and much more! I would happily negotiate price based on the detail of the cake and welcome any business that comes my way.
I am in South Arlington, but would come to your home or office to talk or deliver. Thanks so much !
I recently used "Treat Me Sweet" for a wedding shower cake and she did a great job. She also did the cakes for the wedding and they were beautiful and delicious. She is in Benbrook and her number is ###-###-####.
I forgot to mention she made some petit fours with wedding decorations on them with the smooth icing and they were neat!
Depending on where you live, you can try LISA'S CREATIVE CAKES in Azle, check her website at lisascreativecakes.com, she can make just about anything, she can even come up with a design for you. I used her for my husband's 40th birthday because he loves dominos and I had no idea how to incorporate that into his cake and Lisa made the cutest cake decorated with dominos all over it. Also in Arlington try Cooper Street Bakery, I've seen her work when I visited the store, but never personally ate any cake from them
D.,
I have a small cake business I run on the side. I would be happy to look at the picture and tell you if I think I could pull it off. Let me know. I am always willing to help.

I always go to Cooper St. Bakery on S. Cooper in Arlington. It's in an old strip mall between Arkansas and I-20 on the west side of the road. They have some really awesome cakes to choose from but have also custom designed some for me. Last year, they created a race track and race car cake for my son and did matching cupcakes, all from a description I gave them. Their prices are so reasonable too. Just be warned, they only take cash or checks, no check cards, so make sure you have what you need to pay when you go in!
I have the best person for the job. She has been doing cakes for me and my friends for years! She is the absolutely the best and her cakes taste phenomenal as well. She does custom cakes all of the time. She did a cake after my bedding for my baby shower, the cake like a shower invite for my friend and a birthday invite from my childrens birthday party recently. Go to her website. It is www.icingonthecake.us. You will not be dissapointed. Her name is Kathy Martinez. Just use the contact us link to tell her you will email her a invitation for her to copy. Give her a shot!
Yes, I have a friend who makes amazing cakes. She learned from her mom who is a master pastry chef. Her website is www.hautecakesandcookies.com. She is a mom herself and makes the cakes out of her home.
Depending on where you are(hopefully Texas) or how far you're willing to drive, Sweet Imaginations in Burleson, Texas is a good one...
Cherei's Creative Cakes is a good one too...Fort Worth. But she gets booked up pretty fast.
Sorry...I don't have numbers for either.
Good Luck and Happy Birthday to your daughter.
I see you're in Ft Worth and I only know places in the mid cities. Hot Chocolates in Hurst could probably do it, as well as Texas star bakery in Hurst.
a friend of mine from church has a cake business in Fort Worth. Her mom had a cake business and now she has taken over it. Her name is Wendy Collinsworth. Her email is ____@____.com has a website but I am not sure of what it is, but she would definately be interested. Wendy even made a cake for my friend whose son can't have dairy or eggs. She is a stay home mom with a cake business and her husband is a youth pastor at Lifechurch.TV.
I highly recommend Texas Star Bakery in Hurst. They do a GREAT job with custom cakes (not from a kit--just good artwork and 3D designs). And the cakes are delicious! We discovered them 4 years ago, and have probably gotten 12 cakes from them since, and have never been disappointed--they always look even better than we could have imagined. (I just read back over what I wrote, and even though it sounds like it, I am not getting paid to advertise for them...just a happy customer!)
There is a lady in Burleson- that does cakes out of her home...and they are the BEST! all she does is custom cakes...Her name is Kathleen Gardner - you can contact her at ____@____.com
I've used Creative Memories in Hurst for many cakes and their cakes are delicious and do a wonderful job decorating. You can show them (in person or via email) what you want and they can tell you if they can do it and how much it'll be. They are very friendly too! Here is their information:

OH! You can also purchase balloons there for a very REASONABLE price. It's nice to make one stop for two things!
Good Luck!

You should definately call Kathy Martinez at Kathy's Icing on the Cake in Arlington. She can do anything! (and she delivers, too...if you are in the area.) Check out her stuff at www.kathysicingonthecake.com You will love her!
Most any bakery can match the invitation if you will take it to them. I've had this done several times at Albertson's and Tom Thumb, over the years, and it's much more reasonable than an individual, I've found.
I have an awesome cake lady in Burleson. She has done cakes for my daughter for years and they are always great. She can match the napkin/design and I've given her themes in the past and she has come up with very creative cakes for us. They are absolutley adorable and delicious!
You can reach her by her email address: ____@____.com
I wish you the best!
i would totally recommend texas star bakery in hurst! they are amazing. we found them for our wedding cake and it was the talk of the reception :) their cakes are wonderful and they can decorate it to anything you'd like.
Hi, D.. I don't know where you live, but Sweet Imaginations in Burleson, TX does wonderful cakes. She is truly an artist. Her phone number is ###-###-####. Hope it works for you. She has a boon in her store that you can look at her past cakes. She made one for me once of the skyline of New York City.
Sam's can do it.. My daughter went to a B-day party and the theme was this book from the magic treehouse books called Christmas in ?, but it looked like a real book on that cake.. very nice job they did.. I think I have some pics if you want to see how it looked. You can send me a private e-mail with your e-mail address if you want a pic of the cake.
Good Luck!
Every year I do the exact same thing! I actually take my invitation to Sweet Imaginations in Burleson and they always do an EXACT replica on the cake!
