My kids' favorite cakes have always been from Casa Linda Bakery on Garland Road between Jupiter and Buckner.
Anyone have any recommendations for good birthday cakes?

There are several places to try depending on what you want to spend and where you are located. I have had success with: Society Bakery (on Greenville Ave. at McCommas), Dallas Affaires (Abrams at Belmont), Casa Linda Bakery (Garland Rd near Easton), and Aston's (on Lovers).
Good luck, they are all yummy!
I was not so happy with Society on Greenville, I'm sorry to say. I love how she is set up, that some profits go to some charity, but was not happy at all with birthday cake for my 1 yr old's party. I agree with Casa Linda and Central Market.
In addition to the other J.'s suggestion (I was going to say Casa Linda Bakery as well!) there is Romano's Bakery at Mockingbird Ln. and Abrams! Yummy to both of these :)
Hi,
We just had a beautiful cake from Central Market for my daughter's 4th birthday.
Good Luck!
My best friend does cakes is awesome! She just did my nephews last weekend and it was the hit of the party! He (my nephew) loves Hermie and Wormie, the catapillars, by Max Lucado, so she made a 3D Hermie catapillar. Unbelievable!! And she's very inexpensive. Everyone thought I paid at least a $100 for the cake, but I only paid a third of that.
Let me know if you want her info.
Thanks,
A.
