All birth control pills contain hormones. That's how they work. The hormones in the pill convince your body that you're already pregnant. Other forms that ALSO contain hormones are rings, patches, shots, and the Mirena IUD.
The only forms of birth control that do NOT contain hormones are:
Condoms
Spermacide
Diaphragm
Cervical Cap
Paragard IUD (copper)
There are surgical options, as well, but tubal ligations have been long suspected (and now in the process of being 'proven' through studies, at LONG last) of massive hormonal side effects... and the essure option is too new to know what the long term side effects are (aka if they are the same as a tubal ligation or not).
