I read a ton of rave reviews about Hyland tablets. I had a hard time finding them until I went directly to their Web site. It said Jewel-Osco carries the tablets.
Hello all,
I have a 7 1/2 month old who has been teething now for 4 months. The poor thing is having disruppted sleep due to the pain. Any suggestions on what works for little one's teething. We currently use the dissolving tablet for teething which does not seem to pinpoint the pain. We also use Baby Orajel as well as Tylenol. We try not to use Tylenol if we can help it.

A.,
My son went through the same thing. He would wake up in the middle of the night screaming he was in so much pain. What i did was give him Hyland teething tablets, and give him a bottle of Chamomile tea instead of milk. I found that when teething babies are more prone to ear infections while drinking milk instead of tea. Obviously, don't put any sugar in it, just warm water and the tea bag. The teething tablets will ease the pain for the teeth, and the warm tea will relax him and put him back to sleep. Tylenol isn't a bad idea either though. It really helps, and if you take him to the doctor they're going to tell you to give it to him anyways. I'd suggest doing the tablets, and tea. It helped my son a lot!!!
Hi A. I had a lot of trouble with the teething discomfort with my daughter. I tried the tylenol and later motrin. What i found worked great was the Hyland teething tablets. You can find them at Walgreens in the baby aisle. Hope this helps
Hi A.,
If you are open to trying something different, I've heard great things about having babies wear necklaces made of Baltic Amber. It is supposed to have an analgesic effect when worn on the skin (they do NOT bite on it- just wear it). You can Google it to find more info. I bought mine on Ebay from a woman in Lithuania. My son just cut his first tooth yesterday, so we may finally get the chance to use it! I gave one to a friend and she said she noticed a difference in her son!
Good luck,
T.
