The Combi is not worth the money. I have a Maclaren. My son said it was the most comfortable, it's the sturdiest, & you can use it with the kids longer.
I have looked and looked and can't make up my mind. We are leaving on a trip to Atlanta on April 12th and I don't want to haul my big Graco stoller that came with the car seat out there. However, I can't decide on which umbrella stroller I like the best. I have narrowed it down to the following choices:
1. Kolcraft Jeep
2. Chicco C6
3. Combi Flare
4. Evenflo X Sport
Here are my concerns. The lower priced ones that have good ratings only have a 3-point harness, my daughter is only 9 months old so not sure if that would be enough support for her if she falls asleep in the stoller. Awake, I know it would be fine as she never sits completely back in her stroller now because she always has to see whats going on. Also, is it better to have the bar across the front or at this age are they fine without that?
Any suggestions would be helpful. If you own one of the above do you like it? Or, if you own a different brand that you really like, what do you like about it?
Thanks Moms!!!!
Thanks for your advice. With all the responses I received being about the Maclaren, I found the Triump on sale at Target.com for $134 so I went ahead and ordered it. Kills me to spend that much on a stroller, but at least I know it will last and I won't have to be buying multiple umbrella strollers.

I have the Combi double stroller and LOVE it, but when it came to the umbrella stroller we spent a little more for our Maclaren, but it has made through the last 4 years and is still going strong! I didn't think the Combi was as sturdy as the Maclaren single stroller.
Hello, I had bought the combi(very cute love the color) but my son at the time was 1 and a half and pretty heavy for his age so i wanted one that i could use for a little while and easy to push. I am very a small person and his is alrealy half my size(not weight :) ) but it was hard to turn around corners. someone told me about the Chicco. i bought it and love it. easy to turn, push and my son loves it. for the price it is the best. i tell all mom that it is the best stroller.
I've also heard Great things about the Maclaren and I want one too. I like the fact that it has a basket underneath, unlike most umbrella strollers. I would stay totally worth the money. A friend of mine with twins bought the double stroller and they love it! Plus her husband is TALL and he doesn't have to slump over to push because it's height adjustable. (BONUS - if you're tall) That would be my vote..Maclaren!
Hi, I see you did not mention the mclaren, I really love that one... just thought I would mention that. My baby loves it too

I traveled three times with my son when he was between 4 and 7 months old. Our first flight was to ATL and I lugged the car seat and its big Graco counterpart. What a disaster!
For the other trips I took my Combi. It folds compactly and is lightweight and since I was traveling alone with my son, these features were a plus. (It has a 5 point restraint and a napper bar as well). I just slung it over my shoulder (with my huge diaper bag) and we were off!
Oh - just a quick note about the Atlanta Airport:
The security lines are horrendous! Keep your baby in her stroller and they will take you to the front of the line - no joke!
