I loved the Medela Pump In Style. It is a high end pump (I bought it when I was working full-time, but even after I started staying home I loved it). It worked very well! I also really, really liked the very simple, straightforward manual pump also made by Medela.

I had a Medela years ago . I loved it and it worked wonderfully. Find whatever their newest is and you should do great!

I used the Lansiloh double electric pump for both of my kids. I loved it. It was way cheaper than the Medela and worked great, very comfortable. Definitely recommend it! Congrats on baby #3.

I am a BIG fan of any pump made by Medela. When I was a working mom, I used the Pump In Style. Being a stay-at-home mom now, I got their manual pump at Target. It worked like a charm whenever I needed it. And if I needed to pump a whole nursing for being away or whatever, I pulled out the ol' trusty Pump In Style from my first child (6 years earlier) and it worked as well as the first day I got it. I personally highly recommend Medela.

I vote for (and have) the pump in style too! :). You could probably find a used one, and just get new tubes and the part that actually goes on your breast. I had to pump in the hospital (I was in for about a week, and couldn't nurse because of meds... but wanted to establish a supply) and the tubing and breast parts they gave me there were compatible with the Madella.

Medela dual breast pump. They can be expensive, but I bought mine on ebay - used - just got new tubing and accessories for it.
I used it with my 2 younger kids and then was able to still sell it back on ebay...

I LOVED my Medela Pump-In-Style. I am a work at home mom, but overproduced with my daughter and was "pumping off" milk sometimes 3 times a day just to be comfortable in addition to nursing. It's compact, easy to carry around and use anywhere in the house or when traveling, easy to clean and powerful enough to do the job quickly. It's a double pump with adjustable suction strength, either plug-in or battery operated. Not cheap, but worth every penny, especially when time is of the essence. Congrats on your 3rd and good luck!

Medela Pump in Style worked well for me. You could also rent a hospital grade pump from your hospital (or lactation consultant) if they offer it, its a lot gentler and more efficient. Would not recommend the Avent ISIS dou.

Medela is fantastic but was totally out of my price range. I bought a Lansinoh pump from Target online. The complaint on there was that the dials are too small. The dials are about the size of nickels so I thought they were fine. I really liked the fact that I could use batteries or plug it in. It was small enough to fit in a put in my diaper bag or my bag I took to work so I didnot have to carry 2 or 3 bags. The batteries did not drain super fast as long as I used duracell, energizer was okay. I lost a piece also and got a replacement at a good price and I got it within days. I work so not having the pump was a huge impact.

At Northwestern Memorial Hospital, they had Medela Symphony. I loved it so much, I asked my husband to buy it for me. We found out it was the MOST EXPENSIVE breastpump, and the hospital advised me that they were starting a rental program (that was July 2008). We rented the very first Medela Symphony pumps available. Since then BabiesRus has begun renting Medela Symphony pumps. When I had my second son last November, I was delighted to see that they were still renting the same model, and we rented it again. Check with your hospital and BabiesRus (not all stores have the rentals) and see which is the better deal. They provide all of the personal equipment you will need (nothing personal is reused!).

I first spent a lot of money on a Playtex Embrace, but ended up using a Medela Pump N Style. I loved it! I definitely would recommend Medela.

Medela is the best and is recommended by hospitals and lactation specialists. Target sells them now and you can get it on sale for under $250. Used pumps are not recommended because of bacteria getting in them and transferring into the milk, etc. I wouldnt chance it.

One option you may have is renting a pump from the hospital Instead of buying. The hospital-grade breast pumps are significantly better than the ones you can buy (even when it's the Medela brand!) Then, you can return it after a few months (or however long you want) when you no longer need it. Call the Lactation Dept. at your hospital and inquire about rentals.

I rented the Medela Lactina Select from a hospital. It was wonderful. I also had a Medela hand pump for when I was out that also sorked well. Later, I got the Medela Pump in Style. I like the dial on the electric ones that allow you to pump faster or slower depending on what works, but I liked the Select a little better because it also had a suction dial for another level of control.

The Ameda Purely Yours. I think the new version just came out and it's called the Ameda Purely Yours Ultra.

Medela is the top rated breastpump now days so you can't go wrong there. I have an Ameda double electric. It's less expensive then a Medela and works great. It's also one of the top pumps. I bought it 5 yrs ago. I was a stay at home mom and wanted something I could use to store up some milk. Well 3 kids later it's still works great! I have a 4 mo old and work part time now and it's still working. :)

I used to work outside the home. Now I have a home office. I have used almost every pump imaginable. For my money, I am going to purchase the Ameda Purely Yours. It is inexpensive (relatively) on Amazon.com, works really well, pumps quickly, and is sealed so the milk CANNOT get into the gears and mechanisms of the motor itself. I used my first one through two babies until the parts wore out from use. Also, it was the only one (including Medela pumps) that did not make my nipples crack and bleed.

My lactation consultant recommended the Ameda Purely Yours. Love it!

I have the Ameda (I think it's called Purely Yours). It's not available in stores, but it's available online and a bit less expensive than the Medela pumps. Having an electric double pump makes pumping much easier, and if you get a hands-free bra/boustier, you can do other things while you pump. It still costs about $200, so you have to decide if it's worth it to you. You can also rent a pump from your local hospital...

I found the Lansinoh double electric pretty good. It's about 100 dollars cheaper than Medela.

Having said that, if I did it over I maybe should have sprung for the Medela - I may have been able to pump more with that. But that might just only be me and my milk supply :).

A lactation consultant said the Lansinoh was just as recommendable as the Medela or Avent - she'd stay away from all others.

I also loved my Medela Pump in Style. I think I paid around $300 for it but it was great pumping both sides at the same time.

I know you said you wanted to "upgrade" to an electric pump, but personally, I never had any success with electric pumps while I had enormous success with manual pumps from an $11 Evenflo to the Avent Isis.

I suggest renting an electric pump before you buy. They are expensive and you don't know that it'll work well for you. Contact your hospital's lactation consultant to inquire about renting a pump, but be prepared to go out and buy another Avent Isis. Personally, I don't think it can be beat!

I agree with all the other posters, Medela Pump n Style works great!! They also have a newer model which is hands free and works really well. The hands free is electric and gives you an opportunity to be mobile while pumping. I sucessfully pumped for a year and a half and work full time. My son did not breast feed, but still got all the benefits of breast milk.
