I would give Tuzer a try. At 3, it's a simple introduction type program and if your daughter likes it, she can build on it in the future. Cost is reasonable.
We live near Coit & Bush...and i'm searching for inexpensive ballet lessons for my 3 year old...she barely follows instructions and i'm just looking for something fun/introductory/low pressure/simple/easy. We completed a class at Liberty Recreation center last spring - it was perfect for us but they aren't offering anything on weekdays this fall. YMCA and other plano recreation centers are too far away. Location is key as well as price. Both equally important...all suggestions are welcome.
We are first on a waiting list for a ballet class at our local recreation center (i called and they told me they are offering a class - YIPEE!). The price is unbeatable and time/location is very convenient. Hopefully, it will work out. Once my little budding ballerina shows some progress (maybe in the Spring or next summer) - we will switch to Royal Ballet - seems classically oriented and also good location and price is $55 per month - haven't compared with others - i know it's much more than what we pay at the recreation center but i expect the class to be of a far higher quality. Shall see. Thanks to all your replies!

At that age my daughter went to Arabesque (beltline and coit road) and it was great for that age. They danced to Barney and the wiggles and then learned some ballet. But I totally understand about following directions and they have so much fun I don't think any of them followed direction but, they looked cute in their outfits!
go to www.tobysdance.com They have 1 hour ballet/tap/gymnastics combination classes for 3 & 4 year olds.
My kids take ballet and several other kinds of dance at Tuzer in East Richardson. It is a great ballet school and is very cost effective but it is also a pretty serious school. Closer to you would be Toby's at Campbell and Nantucket or Melva Smith at Arapaho and West Shore. From what I have heard Melva Smith is a bit more expensive than the other two.
