Keep her upright for at least 15-20 mins after eatting. If she has reflux, it will help her to be upright. Put her in a swing or bouncy or car seat after eatting and dont lay her down for a while.
i have a 1month old daughter and for the last few days she has been spitting up i breastfeed her and as soon as i lay her down she spits up. and shes constantly demanding more feedings what can i do

Hi, my daughter could not handle me drinking cows milk. As soon as I quit ALL dairy consumption, no ice cream no grilled cheese,(my 2 favorites) it made a world of difference on my baby. I was probably having too much anyways.. I started researching cows milk & I found some very interesting facts.. (ie cows have 4 stomachs to process their own mothers milk-we have 1) So for us that solved it completely.. I have given up dairy 97%--I still use a little cream in my coffee & I have ice cream on special occasions.. my nursing days are all done now but as I look back, those were the best of times!! Good Luck & Congrats on your new little one!!
burp her, keep upright for a little bit before lying her down, also check your diet...something might not be agreeing with her.
cut out milk for two weeks and see if there is an improvement in her ( I mean all dairy) also make sure you are burping her, and they go through many growth spurts in the first few months. please seek a breastfeeding support group or la leche league group
When burbing your daughter, lean her to her right side just a little. It will help the burp come up eaiser.
Why do you lie her down right after feeding? Maybe she hasn't burped properly?
Keep her upright longer and burp her after feeding for a longer time.
Also, consider if something in your diet has changed, which may be affecting her. Babies are very sensitive to some things mothers eat.
Also, check to be sure she doesn't appear to have a fever or other signs of illness if this is new in the last few days.
Keep her upright after feedings, she could have reflux. Also, spit up is completely normal. And if she is demanding more feedings, by all means, let her eat! :) If she does have reflux, it could be that she is spitting up a lot of her food and then needs to eat more. See your pediatrician if you think she is spitting up too much and find out if she is showing any more signs of reflux. Good luck!
some babies are spitters. she will grow out of it.. both of my kids spit up very badly... my daughter stopped at 6 months. my son spit up every day until he was 14 months old.
You can try to keep her upright after she eats keep her propped up in a bouncy chair or hold her sitting up..
but she will outgrow this.. my kids took zantac and prevacid.. the meds were expensive and really didnt help much.
In addition to the foods you eat and burping, you can elevate the mattress in
her bassinett /crib at the end where her head lays. It might help ,my youngest son had the same issue.

Totally normal - my son was the same way. The pediatrician said as long as he was happy and gaining weight, that all was well, their little gastrointestinal systems are still underdeveloped - she also said it looks like they're spitting up more than they actually are. Still I went through countless outfits a day! Anyway, it's also a way for them to build up your milk supply by sucking more than what they actually need. That way you are ready for their growth spurts. Just grab some burp cloths and try and get some rest :)
Perfectly normal during a"wonder week" (google it) for babies to nurse more than they need to for comfort.
Also, sit with her upright for a short while after feeding her. That should help. But it is perfectly normal, don't worry about it. It will pass, and then be bad again around 8 weeks (another wonder week).
It might be gas. Try burping her more than you do now. Maybe checking into your diet too and see if anything you are eating might be giving her gas. Just b/c you dont get it doesnt mean she wont unfortunately! Good luck.
My sister was a spit up baby and ended up having an underdeveloped valve in her esophagus. My son was also a spit up baby (just not as colic as my sister was) all the time. I had 3 dozen diaper clothes and used most of them before I did the laundry. it didn't help to burp and keep him upright. It didn't matter if I breastfed or used formula. Very frustrating.
What helped and dramatically reduced the spit up was feeding him cereal. I started at 3 months with just a couple of bites and very gradually upped the amount. I didn't start with other foods until the 4 month mark when the doctor recommended. But the difference was night and day. I think he just needed something in his stomach to anchor the fluids.
Hi! It's possible that she has reflux, so mention it to the doctor. In the meantime, burp her more often and try to keep her upright after feeding.
My daugther was always demanding more and more breastfeeding and I almost gave up on a number of occassions. But I stuck with it until she was 14 months and I'm so glad I did. Babies go through different growth spurts and feeding cycles - it'll feel never-ending, and then suddenly when you're about to give up it will get better. Just remember that everything right now is temporary. Take everything one day at a time! Stick with it!
