We went with Jonh Casablanca's when my kiddo was a baby. They actually approached us though. We did have to pay out $220 for pictures and his portfolio which we did get a chance to keep. They kept rights to his pictures and sent out them and called us for open casting. He did nail 7 advertisments and 1 commercial. I soon got tire of it and got even more tired of the other moms that were into the business. We did make well over our $220 back though. ;) Just REMEMBER and be VERY CAREFUL.... There are a lot of agencies out there that look for parents and prey on them. Remember you should NEVER have to pay anyone to cast or represent your child. If you do, this is a scam. They get paid from the sponsers and you should NEVER have to pay a fee. There are companies that meet with you and ask you to write you a check as they sit with kids on cereal boxes and huggies boxes. Just know this is not real.... They should pay you, not them.

I agree with Natalie. Be sure to put "New Talent" on the envelope. That is the best way to get established locally!!

My kids are with Meredith www.meredithagency.com
You only have to pay a one-time fee to get them photographed, on the website, and comp cards. They email you when there are auditions which are free. They get paid when they are chosed from the auditions. You will have to send in a photo and "resume" / cover letter. then they will go through the applications and call you back. It may take months to hear back if your baby is chosen. Then you go in to the agency for an "interview" (info session), then make an appt to get their photo taken - then just wait for calls/emails!
It's legit. I was worried in the beginning about finding the right agency that didn't have hidden fees. I was referred by a friend. Good luck!!
