I would surely appreciate the stuff im due with a baby girl at the end of july and i have NOTHING. My mom wont help me so anything would help ALOT...
I have a ton of clothesfor agirl from age newborn to age 24 months. I have been trying togivet hem away to someonewho may need them like a young mother or maybe someone who is in financial strain. Most of my friends already have children and dont need clothes. Any good ideas of where I could donate them or if you know someonewho may really need them.
Yes, I know Salvation army/ St Vincents is an option, but I would prefer to just give them to a person in need.

Hi there!
If you still would have or would like to donate clothing for girls I would be more than happy to accept it. I am the treasurer of the International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit (IIMD) and even though the Institute doesn't donate clothes as Mission, I do for orphan girls in Chile through an active chilean mother. please contact me through the Institute's website
Thank you very much,
D.
I need them!!!! But I'm nowhere near you..... my fiance just lost his job after we found out I was pregnant, and we've been struggling to stay afloat. We've been living in an apartment with no power, but the rent is paid until next month. After that, we're screwed. I've been trying to at least collect the things i need for when the baby comes, so she is taken care of. I'm not so worried about us, but I know if I had everything for the baby when she comes, his mother can take her in until we find someplace to go. I've been searching desperately for a job, and so has he. I'm currently in school, and no one wants to hire a preggo. There are jobs for him, but we can't afford the commute. It feels like everything is falling apart, but I know that if we can get something in these last three months before the baby comes, we will be okay. Sorry for unloading my sob story, I know there isn't anything you can do, but advice would be just as helpful as anything;-)
i would love to take you for your offer since i have a 9 month old but i stay in tx :( i know if you do find somebody they will appreciate it especially to some that this economy is affecting.
There's a place in Mt. Clemens called Compassion Pregnancy Center. They're always in need of baby items.
There is a clothing closet at Woodside Bible Church in Warren (696/Hoover)
My co-workers daughter is having a baby girl in June. She is in need of things for a newborn. Send me an E-mail if you would like to give her the things, they live in Ferndale, but I will need to ask for their address etc.
I don't know of any one person at the moment who would need them, but I've donated lots of baby items to the AAA Crisis Pregnancy Center in Livonia.
There is a fabulous place to donate to that helps pregnant women in crisis (financial, age, etc)...in hopes of encouraging them that they can have the baby/not have to resort to abortion. It's called Pregnacy Aid ###-###-####
They accept infant-24 mos/2T and all baby related items (cribs, bouncies, etc.).
I have been donating to them for the last several years and they are always SO grateful.
