Baby Boy/Girl Diet

I know 2 people that did the "girl method" and ended up with girls...it can totally work!!!! I don't know much about the diet, although I've heard a bit about it, but mostly if you follow the "rules" about ovulation you're much more likely to get a girl. Obviously it's not fool proof, but it works! We did the boy method and got a boy, but the boy way is much easier! For girls you have to have sex a few days before you ovulate so you'll have to track your cycle for a few months to make sure you know when it happens. I forget the name of the book they read, but if you google it or go to any book store I'm sure they'll have it!

I have a boy and a girl and all I can say is that when I was "trying" to have the girl (after the boy), my husband was going to be out of town on the day I was ovulating. So, we did it when we could before he left (the day before I ovulated) and voila! Girl!

This only relates to the evidence that while boy "swimmers" are faster, girl "swimmers" can survive longer before getting to the egg.

My only advice would be rather than waiting for the day of ovulation, try the day before.

Have sex starting about 5 days before ovulation and continue until 2 days before ovulaiton and then do NOT have sex again until after ovulation. I don't what the 'name' of this method is but I tried it. And a year ago I conceived a girl. Good luck and have fun!

I don't know what to do to swing boy or girl. But we couldn't wait to find out what it was and took one of those pee things. You pee tells you boy or girl. Lets just say the doctor got it right. Don't waste your money.

We used the tips on this web site: http://www.keepkidshealthy.com/pregnancy/pregnancy_planne... for both my pregnancies. Tried for the boy first and then the girl. Got what we wanted both times. :)

For the boy, I read that mom's diet should be high in potassium. For the girl, I think it was high in magnesium. I took the appropriate supplement both times.

I don't know about a diet but we used the book "how to choose the sex of your baby" and got the boy we wanted. We now have 4 different friends who have used it with success as well! There are guidelines to follow for either boy or girl and have very good success rates if done properly.
