With some products, you can spend a little less and not really see any differences, but in the case of breast pumps, that's not true. Medela is the best choice, really, for a pump. Look into the playtex if it's more in your price range, but if you plan to use this pump daily, and several times a day, I"d go with one you know will last. Renting is a great option, because you really don't need to pump very much as the baby gets older. Honestly, once the baby is a little over 6 months, you should be able to get by with a good manual pump, depending on how much you will be working.
