I love my MetroLite, but wish it folded up smaller. I drive a smaller car so it takes up the entire trunk.
I bought a Graco MetroLite stroller but now am second guessing my selection. It's still in the box so I can return it. I've read mixed reviews. Does anyone have any experience with this stroller?
I love my MetroLite, but wish it folded up smaller. I drive a smaller car so it takes up the entire trunk.
I use the MetroLite and am happy with it. I have a 7 month old and we go on walks and use it in the mall. Its easy to fold up and toss in the trunk.
I love mine! I was able to use it when my son was a newborn, and still able to use it being he is almost two. My other girlfriends who bought other Graco strollers had to buy new ones. In addition to my metrolite, I also have a jogging stroller (bob) to take to the zoo, runs around park and neighborhood.
However, the only bad thinga bout my metrolite, the plastic piece that goes infront of the child (the cup holder thing), it does unhook for easy access for baby to get in and out, but it broke on the other side. A plastic piece broke and can't seem to fix it. I still use it, but my son is able to open and close it. So i just have to make sure is strapped in tightly.
Hope that helps!
I've only been using ours for a couple of months but don't really like it. I find the straps to be a bit weird - and when my son is squirmy it can be difficult to strap him in. The front tray on our also sticks a lot - so getting him in and out just isn't as easy as it should be.
I chose the Graco MetroLite stroller as part of my travel system when pregnant with my son in 2006. I really enjoyed it. It really is light and easy to fold. It has a nice basket underneath for when you are strolling to the park or around the mall. The adjustable seat was wonderful when he was little and would fall asleep while out; it reclines all the way to flat with two other positions for sitting. Overall, I think it is a great stroller. I have kept mine neatly put away in case we have any more children. I will definitely use it again.
I bought a MetroLite when my son was born three years ago. I wanted something light and easy to collapse with one hand. I was very please with the purchase and I'm getting ready to use the travel system again with my second child due in a month. Since I didn't buy the most expensive option for my travel system, I spent more money on a good umbrella stroller when my son was older.
I have no complaints about the MetroLite and would buy it again.
I had a Graco MetroLite that lasted through both my kids, and I loved it. I never had any problems with it breaking or anything, and I recommended it to anyone looking to fill out a baby registry.
Ive been using our MetroLite for nearly 18 months now and have no complaints. Love that it has a zero-turn radius, can stand up when folded, and is lightweight yet comfortable for my daughter.
Yes - we bought that and LOVED it. Our daughter is now 3 and still uses the stroller. You will be SOOOO glad you got the lightweight Metrolite! We have two siblings expecting babies and both are getting the same thing. Good luck!
We purchased the Metrolite stroller/carseat combo (in Dec 06) and were pleased with it. I like that it is lightweight and for me, the height was fine (but I'm 5'3"). It steers nicely and is an overall good stroller. My only complaints would be that the basket is difficult to get large items into. But, on the other hand, I felt more secure putting my diaper bag/packages in there than some of the other models that just have the basket open to anyone. While it might be more difficult to get items in & out, it does offer a little more security from someone wanting to steal packages & such. The other negative thing is that even though the stroller closes easily, I was never truly able to close it all up with one hand.
We used the stroller mainly with the carseat. Once my son outgrew the carseat, we began using the combi EX "umbrella" stroller. (cost $99 at BRUs) We love it! I know they make a carseat that fits with this stroller so that might be an option to consider. It's very lightweight & folds up much more compactly than the Metrolite. It's been a lifesaver for us while traveling. Again, my only complaint with this stroller is that the basket is very small & difficult to get items into & out of. Good luck with your decision!
i just recently bought my second metrolite, i had my first for about 5 years, and we put that poor thing through some tough terrain travelling! i have/had a lot of back/shoulder problems, and NEEDED a lightweight stroller. i LOVE it and highly recommend them to anyone i know. my youngest is two, oldest is five, and either one of them can comfortably ride in it. best stroller for the price on the market hands down - i have a peg perego, chicco, and combi - but i always go back to the metrolite!
My son is only 8 weeks old, but so far we love it! We had originally registered for a different Graco stroller (one that folded up instead of down), but at the reccomendation of a friend we went back to Babies R Us to check out the metrolite, and found it was so much lighter. I love it, I can lift it in an out of our SUV without any trouble, and I figured out a way to fold it without folding it to the floor. If there is a babies r us near you, I would reccomend going there to test drive their strollers.
My wheels fell off after about 6 months of use, hated it!
We have the Metrolite and absolutely love it. It is very easy to manage and has a lot of storage.
I like mine a lot except on the folding. It is a weird setup. Otherwise, I like that it is light and fits in the back of my van unfolded. I like that the handle folds down. Good luck!
We had the Vienna first, and it got stolen so now we have the Metrolite. I liked the Vienna much better!
