$$$ Amount for End of Year Teacher Gifts

So I know a lot have asked about appropriate year end teacher gifts. I've resigned myself to purchasing gift cards to either Wawa or Target however, I am unsure of the appropriate dollar amount. Also, both classes have a full-time teachers aide so I plan to get them a gift card as well. Should they receive the same amount as the teacher? Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

I always give the teacher a $20 gift card to a book store (So they can get something for them selves or more book for there class room if they want), and some $5 flowers from wallmart. My sons second grade teacher was a man so he didn't get the flowers, but a little potted plant instead. Also each teacher got a little thank you note from me. Its had work and some times a simple thank you gos a really long way

$15-$25 should be fine I think, try to buy the card in the store itself or the min. $$ value you will find in a supermarket it $25.
What I used to do when I had to send presents to other teachers (gym, art, musin, etc.) is I would send them a small box of good chocolates for about $6-$8 each.
Good luck to you because it adds up!!!

My son had two teachers this year because he moved from an MLP to a Blended. He was in the MLP for 70% of the year, but I gifted both teachers the same - $25 gift card to Target for classroom supplies. My son signed the card I added a personal thank you and we were done ;) I felt it was important to treat each teacher equally as none have done a lesser job for the school as the other.

As a teacher who worked with a wonderful assistant, I always appreciated the parents who gave us the same gift, whatever it was. The assistants get paid so little, the recognition was very much appreciated. And please, do not worry about the amount. Every person should give only what they wish to. Thank you for asking such a thoughtful question.

Whatever you can afford - I think $10 is fine. Also, I came up with a super cheap gift!

Buy little bud vases at the dollar store ($1 each). Buy a bunch of daisies at the grocery store (@ $5). Put a daisy in each vase and tie a ribbon and a sweet note and there is a cute little gift for @ $2 per person!
