I use all Mary Kay Timewise products and I have the most sensitive skin and chemical alleriges and the Mary Kay Product is great. Their replenish Serum is fantastic and skin feels firmer!
I tried a sample size of Lancome Renergie Lift Volumetry cream for a couple months and I am hooked! I loved the results! But I can't afford to buy it again. Rather than spend a bunch of money at Walmart trying new brands I thought I'd ask you ladies. Reasons I love the Lancome product: 1. It doesn't irritate my skin, including around my eyes. 2. It gave my skin a long lasting lift. 3. Smooth skin. 4. Bright, refreshed looking skin. So what is similar but cheaper? I especially would love to hear from ladies who have tried the Lancome product.
Thank you for all your comments! I also used Oil of Olay for years until it began irritating my skin. I tried Mary Kay Timewise a few years ago. I don't remember why I stopped it, but this month I used up the last of it. I like how non-greasy it was. The results were better than Olay but still not the wow factor that Lancome has. This week I've been trying Loreal Revitalift. It's fine. Doesn't irritate my skin or eyes. But it is greasier and I'm not seeing much of a difference as far as wrinkles and lifting go. I will look into Weleda. You look like you have great skin Laeh! Or I may have to just find it in my budget to get Lancome again. Keep the comments coming! They are very helpful!
Oooo Arbonne's RE9 is really good too!

Mary Kay all the way!
Loreal is actually owned by Lancome. I use loreal mascara and it works great.
Years ago I used to use Lancome lotions, when I was young with money and no responsibility. Then, I got married, bought a house, had kids and the word budget was introduced into my vocabulary. So Lancome had to disappear from my shelf. I used oil of olay and nutrogena and they seemed to work fine. Then, I hit 40 and all of a sudden my skin was irritated and scaly and various lotions stopped working. In desperation I went back to Lancome and my skin was awesome once again. I am using Renergie Microlift R.A.R.E. I'm not sure what's the difference is between this and the one you're using but it's the same price. What I do is give up other things that are nice to have so I can buy my Lancome. I gave up lunch out once a week.
honestly, if you really liked the Lancome product, spend the money and "treat" yourself with it. Otherwise, you will, like you said, end up spending that money and maybe more, on cheap products that won't give you the results you are looking for. You'll end up frustrated and broke. Just get the Lancome, you deserve it!!!
I have flawless skin due to a product I buy in German pharmacys. I have been using it for 20 years.
However, Weleda makes Pomagranit night cream which costs 30 dollars a tube and lasts for about 4 months. It does the same thing. So when I run out of the pharamacy cream which only costs 8 Euros I buy Weleda since my skin is worth it. I also do not ever, ever wash my face and neck with soap. I use A-D-E creamy cleanser made by Earth Science. I buy it at the health food store. On sale it is about 12 dollars and the 8 oz size lasts five months.
ANOTHER THOUGHT: When someone asks what you want for your birthday or Christmas, give them you Lancome list. That's what I do with my Chanel # 5. I can usually count on my son or my mother to come through with a nice bottle.
I have used Oil of Olay products for many years. I just use the original pink lotion, the soap and sometimes Night of Olay. Not too expensive. Of course Oil of Olay has jumped on the band wagon of producing many new products that are expensive in my world, but still not nearly expensive as Lancome. Still the soap and the lotion work well for me. I am going to be 63 and have been using the same products since my 20's. I get compliments on my smooth skin a lot.
A good friend of mine and her mother have used Ponds cold cream and swear by that. It's not expensive either.
Keep us posted on what you decide.
Blessings.....
My thought is "a little goes a long way" with Lancôme products and if you divide the amount of money you spend on the cream per day it comes out to approx 50-75 cents a day. That's much less than bottled water, cup of coffee, 20 oz soda, etc. Also, to me that's worth using a good product that works for your individual needs. I have sensitive skin too and have used Lancôme for years. I've tried cheaper, middle-of-the-road, comparable-to products and I always come back to the tried, true and steady.
I know that doesn't give you an idea of a different product but I hope it allows you to see it in a different perspective. I gave up sodas for my skin =)
