I tried meds, but nothing helped until I started getting allergy shots. My allergist is Barbara Baxter on Sherry Lane in Dallas. She is very good. I've referred several friends and they all like her.
I have had allergies most of my life. Never with watery eyes. This past year and now I have had my eyes watering for weeks at a time. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do? I have gone to the eye doctor and he has changed my eye drops, I take allergy meds. Nothing is helping.

Try Patanol or PataDay eyes drops. They work great for my eyes. They are perscription.
I see a natural health dr. He is great. The homeopathic he gave me for my allergies made me feel better within 30 minutes. Plus, it is all natural, which makes me feel better.
His name is Brian Hickey and he is in Arlington. His number is ###-###-####.
Hi R.,
I know where you are coming from. About two years ago, my eyes continued to weep. I have very bad allergies as well. The allergies had settled in my eyes. My eye doctor prescribed drop and I don't recall the name. If you want it, please email me and when I get home I will let you know what it is that was prescribed. It took about a week but it finally cleared up.
Hope you find relief soon.

I have been so helped with allergies by taking my liquid nutrition daily. I used to have to take Allegra daily. I no longer need to. My son had the same watery eyes you spoke of, but he has been helped as well. It seems to help so many with allergies. Seems to just allow the body to heal itself of so many things from PMS to eczema. For me, arthritis no longer makes my hands painful, am off allergy medicine, and Plantar Fasciitis not an issue. I can tell you more if you need info. ____@____.com is my email.

Great results for people with allergies. The main ingredient is fucoidan and has had over 800 independent researches and is great for so many things.
Check out the website and call me if you have questions.
Also, this is a great way to make money and has great tax advantages as a home business. No inventory or membership fees.

I am a Nurse Practitioner and I just went to a conference on allergies. The speaker stated that the only nasal spray that works for nasal allergies and eye symptoms is Veramyst. It may be worth a try.....
Have you seen an allergist? Several of my children suffered from allergies from infancy to adulthood. The only thing that helped was taking allergy shots for specific allergies. It has made a world of difference in two of my grandchildren, too. Knowing exactly what you are allergic to, and treating that is the best way.
I had trouble with allergies that prescriptions didn't clear up. I then went and saw Dr Greg Steiner at CA Clinic in Allen. He does Accupuncture. It cleared me right up! I couldn't believe it. His number is ###-###-####. He is a really nice guy too. Tell him M. sent you. Good luck!
Texas has the honor of being one of the worst states for allergy sufferers. Everything blows through here. I had what I consider a mild case of allergies but saw them get progressively worse since moving here. One night I started to have trouble breathing. I immediately went to a doc-in-the-box as that was still open and the next day I made an appointment to see an allergist and discuss shots. I am now in year three of this 5 year plan and it has made a huge difference - I still have to deal with allergies but not at the same level as before and most importantly they are not getting worse. OTC meds and even commonly prescribed allergy meds were never effective for me so having shots as an option was pretty much my only option. Thankfully they have made a difference for the better. Good luck.
I have allergies too, and my eyes water constantly, until I see my regular Dr. and ask for a Kenalog injection. After a day or so, no more allergies for at least 6 months. I had never even heard of the Kenalog shot until my husband had received one from his Dr. His allergies get so bad at least once a year that it puts him in bed. I've tried everything over the counter, and this is the best thing I've found. You might want to ask your Dr about it, and find out if it's right for you. I have never had any adverse reactions at all, and swear by it.

Hi R.:
My allergy Dr. has prescribed some allergy eye drops that work wonders - one drop does it! I'm currently on Optivar - they're not cheap but like I said...my eyes will be so watery and itchy that I feel like I want to scratch them out - one drop each eye, I'm good the rest of the day...
I have always had the same problem. I use the OTC eye drops Opcon-A which work wonders. It's about $10 for a 2 pack at Walmart. During allergy season, usually a drop or two in each eye in the morning will last all day, but I keep a bottle in my purse just in case. If I'm outside a lot I made need another drop. Also, at bedtime, I take a wash cloth and dampen it with cold water and lay it across my eyes as I fall asleep. That usually keeps them from burning and cuts down on the swelling I get.
Hello R.,
do you know what you're allergic to? grass? ragweeds? if you're allergic to ragweeds, there are some foods you should not eat. Here is a short list of foods that are in the ragweed category: chamomile, echinacea, lettuce, artichokes, sunflower seeds, safflower oil, sunflower oil.
once I got more proactive avoiding ragweeds, my allergy misery has diminished by about 80% and that means a lot less meds!
Also, are you using any new house cleaning products? detergent, etc? do you have live plants/flowers in the house? are you using any new perfune, make-up, lotions, shampoo, conditioner, etc.? candles? air freshners? Good luck finding out and eliminating the allergens! ~C.~
I agree with Alem. I take many supplements, but the one I think that helps the most is Alfalfa for both allergies and my joints. I really believe in it. I'd be a liar if I said I had no allergies, but it does help. Get through spring and maybe things will be better too. My sister had luck with drops she bought at Whole Foods that are particularly for the allergies in our area...some homeopathic remedy. I believe in all this stuff because I have seen them work!
