What can I do next?

My son has been going to Hope for 2 years. We love the school
it has been a blessing. My son is in the 8th grade and doing well, he needed more then APS could offer, small classrooms and all the staff know the children.

I have a friend who takes her 3 year old daughter to Hope and she absolutely loves it. She takes her three times a week and couldn't be happier. I am waiting for my daughter to turn three so I can take her! Her daughter has learned so much since she has started and she loves going to school. I would definiately look into it.
It is true that the kids have to test into the school program but if your three year old start now, they will learn the things they need to know to test well when the time comes.

I am not a fan of Hope Christian School. My kids are at a charter school called NACC off of Jefferson. They love it and are doing great. They start at kindergarten however, not preschool.

The reason I did not like Hope is because when two of my kids went to test, one did not do very well because he has ADD and just simply doesn't test well. If he could have had more time to finish, he would have done a whole lot better, but they wouldn't give him extra time.

Also, when I went and had an interview with the elementary principal, she said they were only interested in children who tested well because that would keep the standard up for the school. It seemed that the test scores were much more important than teaching children and providing them a Christian learning environment. I didn't like that and wouldn't send my kids there even if they had of taken them. I am so glad Hope didn't want my kids because we love NACC! I guess God works in ways that is best for us. He knew NACC was where we needed to be.

Good luck.
