After Prom Ideas

When I was in high school, I planned a lot of those just because I was bored! And while my friends initially rolled their eyes, they always got into it and had a great time.

Some ideas:
A good, old-fashioned pillow fight
Red light, Green light
Fishy fishy cross my sea
Scavenger hunt or scavenger hunt where one clue leads you to the next clue
Kid toy gift exchange
Bubble gum blowing contest
Play-doh sculpting contest
Kid board games: Candyland, Hungry Hungry Hippo, Battleship

I have not been involved or planned anything like that. But I can tell you that that age is not quite as "grown up" as much as they think they are. And here is how I know that. . .
A couple of years ago, when our son was still in high school he frequently had the buds over to watch significant games on TV, play cards, pool, etc.
I had been cleaning once and had a bunch of "old" toys sitting out to donate. One night I heard all this commotion and they had pulled all those old toys out and were playing them.

ps. You could do some kind of an "Olympics" theme and have different events with the different games. I'm not good at planning those kinds of things but I bet someone on here or another committee member could help.

I remember playing UNO and other card games ( I think we played hearts and spades) at an after prom party. To keep up with the children's games theme you could do Go Fish and Old Maid.

Why not a "High School Musical" them? A friend of ours did that for her high school daughters birthday. They got a projector and showed the movie outside on the side of the house. Play games and get the sing a long version of the movie and they can act it our and have a ball. Sort of like the Rocky Horror Picture show for us (only cleaner).

Have a scavenger hunt for them!

We had karaoke, maybe someone has a karaoke machine they wouldnt mind the school borrowing for the night? Also, when we were in high school we played a lot of Monopoly and Risk, which are always a good time. :-)
