Here is a link to some car seat strap covers on amazon. I know they are shown for the shoulders, but they are velcro and I think would work just as well on the thigh straps. http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&search-alias=baby-pro...
Hi moms! I currently have my 15-month-old daughter front-facing in a Britax Roundabout carseat. My problem is, is that now that she is in rompers, shorts, and sundresses for the summer, the buckles and lapstraps are really chaffing her upper thighs. I'm not sure what to do. I know that I do not have the straps on too tight, and loosening them further would not only compromise her safety, but doesn't do much to affect the lap area. Any suggestions? Does anyone know where I could get some cushions or covers for the buckle area? All ideas are welcome! Thanks!

In the summer we use these little velcro soft covers (they are pink w/ bunnies on them-so cute) They are for their shoulders though. I have heard that you can cut the toes off of an old tube sock and slide that onto the straps. I think that that would still be thin enough not to get in the way yet protect their skin from the friction. Good Luck
Hi A..
you can use that odd little circle of padded fabric that they have under the buckle to buffer it. I never did, but some of my friends always put that between their daughter's legs--I'm assuming to keep straps and such from rubbing. If the shoulder strap part is bothering her (that was always our problem though my daugther never complained), you can move the strap covers from your infant seat if you used one (the ones from the Graco Snugride are velcro-ed on, so easily moved around).
Good luck!
Newer carseats come with a buckle, crotch strap cover; maybe you can buy one by itself either at BRU or by calling one of the carseat companies. I know that Graco has them on all the new seats.
