Did it help you? I've had a migraine for at least four days now and nothing seems to stop it. It's not the first time and it seems I'm getting them more often these days. Also, can you recommend somebody specifically in my area?

What can I do next?

YES.

With both of my pregnancies, I had had, BAD morning sickness & Migraines. Daily.
Per my OB/GYN, I had acupuncture.
Just one 1/2 hour session, was all it took.
Gone.
It did not return, at all.
It is very relaxing and does not hurt.

But per your migraines... have you checked with your medical doctor as well?

I found out my migraines were due to a hole in my heart.
My friends' daughter had a migraine that lasted almost 4 years nonstop. They tried everything for her. Acupunture was what finally worked. But they had to go to two before they got the right practictioner.

can't recommend someone local for you but I can tell you that cutting out sugar and dairy from your diet can eliminate the triggers that cause migranes. That and caffeine.
Migraines are awful, I hope you get some relief soon.

My husband does Acupuncture and has pretty good success with migraines. I have migraines pretty rarely, but hate needles so much I would rather take the meds and ride it out...something that annoys him greatly.

My best friend has a heart condition so she can't take meds for migraines and she swears by acupuncture, and so does one of my old co-workers.

It's always worth a shot!

I have never tried an accupuncturist but thought I would mention that my husband had a 2 week migraine. It ended up being occipital neuralgia, the nerve from his eye was pinched in his spine. If your migraine keeps up, you may want to check to find out what is causing it.
Good luck to you - migraines are TERRIBLE!

Not sure where you are located, but my husband Dr Ng is located in Sarasota, FL. He is originally trained in China before relocating to the states. He has been my acupuncturist for years since I have ms and don't take western drugs. If you are interested, message me, and I will email his information. Voted best practitioner in our local "Who's who.

Good luck.

I would suggest reiki and vocal toning/chanting as well to help release the energy imbalance/stress fueling the migraines. I have found those to be effective - acupuncture often works also, though IMO working with needles isn't usually necessary to affect the energy currents, so you can use vibrational healing methods that don't require even touching the body if you prefer to.
