I was wondering what kind of activities can you do with your toddler in AZ during summer time? what places other than the mall can I take her to so we are not stuck in the house all of the time. I feel like she gets bored sometimes and she wants to be outside but it is just too hot. I would like to know what other places are there to take her to so she can have a good time.

Thanks

What can I do next?

lol, my 19 mo old LOVES Home Depot with her daddy!

We do the Chandler Mall event..the childrens museum downtown I hear is wonderful but we have yet to make it.
S. how old is your daughter? I'm open to grabbing the girls & making a day of it if you are interested =)

We too have a baby pool in the shade. They are all on major clearance right now. $2!!! We only keep her outside 10-15 min tops & in the mprning or evening only.

Here is a fun one...finger painting with pudding. Chocolate pudding, a diapered (only) baby & a piece of paper on the tile floor. Lots of fun for my lil lady!

Swimming pools or any other body of water (lake, sprinkler, kiddie pool) are the only outdoor activities I have my daughter particiapte in in the summer out here. It is just too dangerous if there is nothing to keep you cool. I know some cities in the valley have public pools but I just bought a kiddie pool and I set it up on my driveway and let her play with her bathtub toys out there. I also try to do arts and crafts type things. We do watercolor, playdoh, foam art and we go to the library once a week. Hope this gives you some ideas!

Play dates are great try meetup.com for more group activites. I like San Tan Village there are two play areas one is for smaller kids and a splash pad. the most important thing is even though they are outside it is all covered so they are shaded and they have misters. check it out..202 & San Tan

Summers in AZ are hard. I take my kiddo to any place that is big and cool. We go to Target, Walmart, Costco, and like the others said Home Depot or Lowes. The library is fun or I will even take him to story time. They have them at the library and Barnes and Noble. There are also classes you can take like The Little Gym or Gymboree but they are expensive. I try to take my son outside early in the morning in our backyard for a while to get some outside time but it is just not safe later in the day. Hope this helps!

I have been taking my 20 month old to the Chandler Maul, they have a play area and he just loves running around the second floor and looking down at the people. I also take him to Home Depot--sounds strange but during the day it's not crouded and he has a blast running up and down the halls. I sure hope you get some other suggestions because you are right it's hard to keep they busy.

Some repeat answers, but we: go to the library, bookmans used bookstore, splash pads at parks and malls, mall, the gym, children's museums, pet store, & wherever Mom needs to get some shopping done. :-)
