Activities for the Weekends

One of my favorite places is The Science Place http://scienceplace.org/info/aboutus.shtml
The entire downstairs is 2 year old fun- a giant sand box, a nature type room where they can go "in" a beaver den, see bees making honey, dress up, etc..., a water room (they provide waterproof aprons)... it is really awesome.
The Dallas Zoo is great- the kids zoo has a lot to offer little ones and the DART rail goes right to the entrance gate. Since it cost $5.00 to park the DART fare makes that very cheap. And most 2 y/o think riding the train is great!

You might call Half Price Books to see if they have a copy of Linda Morley's "Outings & Adventures with Your Kids". This book focuses strictly on the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and Linda gives ideas of fun things to do and places to go that are age-appropriate. My kids like to go to the Arboretum (when weather is nice).

We've been meaning to go to the local zoo, the Aquarium, maybe the arboretum, white rock lake, and get some outdoors time and let our little one explore new things we can talk to her about. Maybe those would be ideas for you or might help jump start your thought process a little. Good luck!

Check out the Dallas Arboretum. It's open everyday from 9 to 5 and is located at White Rock Lake. Lots of room to run and play.
