I'm looking for some activities for my 21 month old to do while I'm helping my 4 year old with his writing. I made him a binder with alphabet tracing sheets in sheet protectors that he can use with dry erase markers. So I'm looking for something fun to keep my daughter occupied.

What can I do next?

A woman from church would give her daughter fat crayons and paper and she would write also. Another way to keep her busy is to give her a basket of different things, like blocks, balls etc, that she can take out and put in again. This might give you about 30 minutes to concentrate on the 4 yr old.

You can do things like let the little guy play with your tupperware while you help your older son, or find an educational TV show. Play dough is a great time waster.

All your daughter needs to do at this age is play. So, to keep her busy, give her an assortment of toys that either change each time, or that can only be played with during this time of day. Give her pots and pans with a couple of wooden spoons and let her drum. Give her a coloring book, some blank paper and some crayons or finger paints. Give her a dozen matchbox or hot wheels cars to drive around, or a train set.

Put her in her high chair and give her a toy to play with or plop her in the floor with a toy

Public library will have a LOT of books in the Activities for Toddlers section. We checked out everything from Music fun to art fun and stuff like brain building games for toddlers.

Hmm, just let her play? Not sure I understand the question. No matter what I was doing (laundry, gardening, doing a craft or game with the older one) my little one/s simply played nearby. I don't think they would have sat down at 21 months and worked on an activity!
