I remember reading this book that my son brought home while in elementary school and he had recently asked me if I remember the book which I did but not the title.

It was about a boy and a girl. They were transported to a medieval times setting .. .they were trying to find their was home. I'm quite certain the title started with an" A" . Please if anyone can help it would sure get my mind off the topic.

Not A Wrinkle in Time. There is no time travel and nothing medieval. Was the book new at the time you read it or had it been around for a while?

If its the MagidC tree house series, then the "A" you are thinking of is Jack and "Annie"!

Sounds like the Magic Tree House Series - I believe the author wrote a book about them in which they went to that time period. Best of Luck!

Here are the suggestions I've received:

-The Knight at Dawn by Mary Pope Osborne
-Gideon the Cutpurse (republished as The Time Travelers)
-The Wizards and the Monster by Bill Brittain
-Do It Yourself Magic by Ruth Chew
-Warriors of Alavna, by NM Browne
-Knight's Castle by Edward Eager, or The Castle in the Attic by Elizabeth Winthrop
-Astercote" by Penelope Lively

I am not sure of the exact title, but this sounds like part of the Magic Tree House series so you may look there to start and see if anything rings a bell.

Woww! I remember a book like that too. I can picture the cover - it had a gray stone wall in it. It's not any that have been mentioned so far. I'll be watching to see the name as well.

If it was on a summer reading list or part of your son's course work you could just call the school...

I was going to ask if it was a Magic Tree House book, but the medieval one is "The Knight at Dawn", which doesn't have the "A"!

Are you talking about Edward Eager's Knight's Castle? He wrote a few time-travel books about a family of kids, and their kids get to be time-traveling cousins.
