My dad totally loves the flair hair hat I sent him. They are hilarious. He gets tons of attention with it. Here's the site: http://www.flairhair.com/mens-flair-hair-visor-with-hair....
My FIL is turning 70 at the end of November, does anyone have any ideas for a B-day gift? He has plenty of money to just go get whatever he wants, and I'm tired of giving pictures and stuff like that. He loves the pics and stuff but really just want to give him something different this year. Any ideas on creative gifts will be greatly appreciated.

You can get mirrors engraved and they look nice on a wall--a little pricey, but very pretty. :-)
My Grandpa loves getting hats with funny things on it. One year my brothers got him a hat at the ocean shops that looked like it had seagull poop on it, and read "damn seagulls" he wears that hat everywhere to this day. He loves to shock people! Lol.
A gift certificate for a massage?
A weekend at a nice B&B?
How about a limo ride to dinner?

My parents love gift cards to restaurants; IHOP is their favorite for a lunch out treat. They also love to read; give him some books or gift card to a book store that he wouldn't normally walk in to and buy something. Also, anything that gives him time with you. ex. Make him a certificate good for a nice dinner at your place or even a brunch. My sister in law is good with trimming hair. She goes over to my parents house every other week and trims dad's hair. Sometimes she takes dinner and they visit. Saves him $12 every time and they both get to enjoy her visits. You might be tired of pictures, but he may treasure you taking the time to put a certain type or theme of pictures together in a bound book. There are a lot of free and low cost digital story book programs out there you can make it on. If you don't go over the number of pages (usually 20), they are pretty reasonable.
Good luck.

Why does he need a present? Why not 'gift' a donation in his honor to a charity?
I sympathize with you... my grandpa is 89 and it is always hard to find something for him. A few things he has really liked: personalized notepads (http://www.thestationerystudio.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/c..., personalized photo playing cards, an automatic address stamp, and a travel coffee mug from Wal-Mart that comes with a customization insert-- I inserted my children's artwork-- and it can be changed out.
Good luck!
When my mom turned 70 we kids gave her a big surprise party. People that she had impacted in her life came from all over the states to wish her well. I'd also sent out a letter (w/ stationary and stamped envelope) asking people to write something special to her (we were lucky b/c she always keeps her address book updated - we just had to 'borrow' it to make copies). I made a huge scrapbook of all the replies. People sent photos, newspaper clippings they'd kept for years...all kinds of stuff. It moves her every time she looks at it, to see how much people love her. And lastly, we pooled together and bought her a hot air balloon ride plus an extra ticket to take someone along with her. She'd always wanted to go but would never do that for herself. We wanted her to have an adventure and that seemed like a good one. Is there anything he's ever talked about doing but just hasn't? Flying lessons? Deep-sea fishing trip? Weekend at a golf resort? Something he'd never get for himself b/c he'd think it was too much to spend on himself?
