Hi moms,
My 6month old has been "sick" since Feb 12th!!!!!!!!!!! and he still has a runny nose. Some times its thick mucus and sometimes its just clear. He only started daycare last week, so we cant really blame it on that. His dr says hes fine....should I take him elsewhere? I had purchased the humidifier/vaporizer from babies r us and that made noooo diff. I then bought the $12 one from Walmart.... again no diff. Any suggestions on a good one?

What can I do next?

The same thing happened to my son last year. Once he was on allergy meds (I tried Target brand of Claritin for kids), the problem went away.I know so many people who develop allergies in Dallas, and babies seem to be born with it.
The problem is your son might be too young for meds. Try to lift the head of his crib to make breathing easier during the night. Also, there might be something at his daycare or at home that triggers the allergies: certain cleaning liquids for example.
I hope your boy feels better soon, J J!

Sounds like allergies, if you ask me! I didn't know babies had allergies but they do!

I had a very similar problem with my 17 month old. It seems like he just never got better. I put him on Zrytec for a few weeks and the problem is gone. Allergies is all it was.
