Try Huggies they work well or maybe Night Time Pull UPs. The Pull Up idea my sound a little crazy but the Night Time ones are designed for extra absorbency. Hope this helps.
My daughter is 5 months old and ever since she started sleeping on her tummy she is wetting through her clothes. I don't know what to do or what diaper to try. She is just now going into size 2 diapers. She wears the Pampers Baby Dry. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
Thank you everyone!! We have gone up a size in the diapers and it worked like a charm. Right now we are using both Pampers and Huggies for her. I am testing them to see if one seems better then the other. Thanks again for all of the imput!!

My some wore Pampers Baby Dry and I loved them and still do, but he had the same problem. I would try going up a size just to see if that helps, if it doesn't you should try an overnight diaper. Huggies and Pampers both make overnight diapers. I like the Huggies better.

Have you tried using size 3 diapers at night? I was told by my sitter that the sizing isn't so much their size, but how much 'stuff' they can hold. Other than that, have you tried changing her midway through the night? I don't generally change just a wet diaper at night, but if she is wet then she may be uncomfortable and would sleep better with a dry one.
Good luck, let us know how it goes!

I have always gone up a size in diapers every time leaking issues began to occur. My 7mth old just went into size 3 diapers, but I have him in a size 4 overnight during the night. I would suggest a higher size diaper and/or make sure the diaper you put on is as snug as possible. Good luck!
They sell diapers for boys that are heavier at the front. Perhaps you should use them at nighttime.
I also agree with the Huggies crowd. I've tried Pampers off and on since my son likes the prints on Pampers, but they leak like sieves. Huggies, I've rarely had a leak.
Pampers seems to have an odd sizing too, so try another size if it's leaking if you like Pampers brand.
Huggies makes nighttime diapers but I think they start at size 4. You could get a BumGenius Cloth DIaper with a doubler and try that. That is waht I use and never have leaks.
As most replied below, we used the Huggies Overnights...in 1 size larger than the diapers my daughter was in...and put the Huggies Overnight on top of a regular diaper. These are hard to find; look at Toys R Us.
You can also try putting on two diapers, one on backwards.
As for my daughter, wetting through the diaper only lasted 4 or 5 months. :)
I would try going up a size or trying one of the overnight diapers. I use the Pampers ones, but my son sometimes still leaks through them. You can usually just go up a size (especially at that age) and solve the problem. Good luck!
We had the same problem- either buy the night time diapers or double diaper her. Both work great
I don't use disposables, so can't suggest there, but for the crib, you can get some of the "ultimate crib sheets". They are waterproof, and snap onto the crib rails. They are super easy to change, and can save a lot of frustration with changing the crib sheets.
Try Huggies. They sometimes work better for girls.
Around the same age this started happening with both my kids. I went up a size at night and used huggies. For example, my son wears a 4 in Pampers Cruisers (which are better than the baby dry) all day, and at night he wears Huggies Supreme size 5. When he goes up to the 5s during the day, I will use size 6 at night. Hope this helps.

Try the night time diapers...those work better and hold more. Good luck!
Consider buying a size up in diapers for night time (this worked for us) or there are some good overnight diapers as well.
My son is cloth diapered and was experiencing the same issue. I started doubling up which worked up to four months, but then had to switch to using a disposable. Then he started leaking through those -- I had several brands --same issue. Finally, I tried a thin folded cloth inside the disposable and he hasn't leaked since.
Good luck.
I just did a test with my daycare kids of a size 3 Baby Dry vs a size 3 Huggies Supreme. They both took 6 oz of water without leaking, BUT when you squeezed them the Supreme held all that water in, but the baby dry leaked like a faucet.
So because of that experiment I suggest you try Huggies Supreme for night time.
Pad the diaper with another diaper folded inside out to absorb the extra urine, use maxi-pads, or buy a bundle of cheap washcloths and use one of them as a liner at night. Also, make sure she sleeps on a changing pad to save the sheets. Good luck.
You can put waterproof pants over her diaper (the kind that people used to use over cloth diaper) . Also stretch the diaper (open it up and open try to make it flat) before you put her on her. Pampers seem to be really 'slim' so the need a little stretching to get a good fit. It could be that it is not fitting sung so it is more like a bowl on her body- so it is not absorbing well and just spilling out. You could also pull it up a little more in the front when she is sleep.
My daughter used to go to bed at 5pm and sleep through until 6:30 so we doubled up her diaper at night...one on the regular way and then reverse on top of it...worked great. We also use Pampers.
You can also try Fisher Price Happy Nights diapers in Size 3. Toys R Us/Babies R Us carries them and they are a little cheaper than Huggies and work just as well.
Try Huggies one size bigger. It worked for both my daughter and my son.
Huggies Overnites are the only way to go. Have used them since our son was about 7 mos...he just turned 2 yrs and we're still faithful to them. Maybe leaked 3 times in all that time.
Bigger diapers! I also never liked the Pampers Baby Dry, I found they filled up too quickly and burst. I use Huggies overnights.
We have success with Huggies Overnights, too. However, if you are putting your little one in two-piece PJs, make sure that the waistband is not pulling down the diaper as this could cause leakage, too. Good luck!
We had the same problem. We tried both going up a size and using a thick, absorbent maxi-pad in her diaper and that worked.
Good luck!
My daughter had the same issue...I've been using the Fisher Price Happy Nights diapers. They work wonderfully.....super absorbent - she's always dry in the morning...Only thing is I've only seen them at Babies R Us....so it can be less convenient to find them...
If you don't change her immediately before going to bed do that 1st. I used swaddlers and then cruisers...then when my children were in size 4 got Huggies Overnights. Now they wear size 5 from Costco (generic) because it doesn't happen anymore. I hope this helps!
I always bought a size up when they started wetting out of their diapers during the day (even if their weight was within reason to be in the smaller size). The night is a completely different story. See if you can get pads to go under the over sheet to help you out...that way you are only cleaning sheets daily and not the sheets and mattress pad.
huggies overnights diapers...super thick and absorbant.
they are hard to find in size 3 but they do make them. I usually got them at babies r us..
I think Huggies overnights are the absolute best. They come in a purple package. I tried Pampers overnights and they were no good at all. Good luck!
Very normal, but definitely inconvenient. The kids will leak through all diapers at some point -- no matter what brand. She's probably too little to wear any of the "overnight" diapers (like Huggies Overnights). Try going up a size.
Also, Babies R Us sells "Jumbo quilted multi-use pads." They are about the width of a crib mattress, and about 2/3 of the length. Buy 2 of them, and layer them between the crib sheet and another crib sheet. Then, when the baby wets through during the middle of the night, all you need to do is peel off the wet sheet and the pad -- and you'll have a clean, dry sheet underneath, ready to go.
I used Huggies overnights when this started happening with mine. Then I switched from pampers to huggies altogether.
