D..
Can you elaborate?
What discipline are you talking about? What kind of behavioral problems do you have with him or her? (Him, or her?) How old are your other kids?
Thanks,
Dawn
I have a 4 year old child who doesn't respond to discipline and/or consequences the way my other children do.
Is there anyone else out there who is going through this with their child? If so, what have you tried to correct behavioral problems? What types of behaviors have you struggled with?
Thanks!

What do you mean 'doesn't respond to discipline and/or consequences'? What kind of discipline b/c I really don't want to take the time to make suggestions if you have already tried them.
Every child has a hot button that they respond to, you just need to find it. My oldest, it was taking away STUFF. Oldest daughter, it was standing in the corner, but I learned very early that physical punishment (swats) didn't phase her - she was TOUGH. Youngest daughter, even a threat of a swat made her behave. Youngest - his seems to be removing privileges, such as electronics, TV, a promised outing.
The point is - not every child responds the same to punishments. Some could care less about time outs. Some are so tough or so angry that swats are counterproductive. You just have to find hers.
