I am 33 weeks tomorrow and experiencing a lot of contractions today and painful movements from the baby. I should mention that I have been having contractions for a few months now. Today I have had more than usual with a painful one with pain in my back, which is normal for me becasue I tend to have back labor (this is my 3rd pregnancy.) Should I be concerned? I had both my kids a week early and didn't have any contractions with them.

What can I do next?

It might not hurt to time your contractions and see if there is a regular pattern. Also, chart the level of pain on a scale of 1-10. If there is a consistant, progressive patterns or the pains get worse I would definately give the doctor a call. Of course, if you are worried, I would call anyway. :) If you feel like you need to go to the hospital, go! Don't feel bad for being concerned. You're a mom, it comes naturally!

You should call your OB and ask for his/her opinion. They will probably want to know if there is a pattern to them. You should drink some water, lay on your left side, and time them. But definitely call your OB. Best wishes!

Time them. If you have more than 5 in an hour you need to call your doc.
