Has anyone tried the 3daypottytraining.com eBook? I am starting the potty training process. My DD does fine at home with me all day on saturday with maybe only 1 wet pullup late in the afternoon. But during the week at daycare she will not go. She never says that she doesn't have to go and everytime daycare asks her if she has to go she will go and sit on her little potty but never go. Once she gets up and a diaper goes back on she goes in that. I have even told daycare to take her first thing when she wakes up from her nap which they have done and she sat there for almost 20mins and still did not go. Do I try to take 3 days and stay with her and only have her in undies? If anyone has bought and tried the 3daypottytraining how did that go? Thanks for your help!!!

What can I do next?

I bought the 3daypottingtraining book because I have a two year old and was expecting another a few weeks later. I didn't want to have to worry about having two in diapers and when I found this ebook I jumped on it. You do have to follow the book to a T in order to be successful. If you have the will to stick with it, it will work. My son signs more than he talks and was able to understand the concept after 3 days. Although it can be draining, it definitely works!!!! We haven't used diapers (and NEVER used pull ups) since we started the training.

Yes, I used Lora Jensen's eBook method and loved it! I started it with my daughter a few weeks after she turned 2 (she'll be 3 next week) and I would do it again, and plan to with her soon-to-arrive baby brother when he's 22 months. I also know about 8 other moms who have used the same method in the last year and all have had success. Of course it doesn't mean that there are not accidents after the 3 days, it's still a long process, but the initial 3 days in my opinion really made a difference.

Good Luck with whatever you try! Moms should get some kind of party after they potty train a kid!

I know this book has worked for a lot of people, but it did not work for us. My son was completely obstinate about using the potty and this did not change after employing the methods described in the eBook. I work from home, so my son goes to daycare and the thing that seemed to help him the most was seeing other kids using the potty and being made to sit the potty on a regular basis (they took him every hour at first). Good luck!

I used the 3 day method with my daughter and will be using it again with my youngest. I loved it! It worked like a charm. Here are a few ideas I used that helped with the process...

- I had my daughter throw away her diapers, which she thought was very fun!
- It is easier to see when they start going potty in their panies if you buy solid color ones. The pattern seems to hide it better. Solid color ones are not as fun but you can buy fun ones once you are done.
- On the second day I began to take my daughter potty every 15-20 minutes which worked well.
- In the book it says to say things like "ew, that's yucky" and "I don't like when you pee pee your panties." This worked REALLY well for my daughter. I didn't need to discipline or get upset because she was upset at the thought of doing something yucky. It relly helped keep a relaxed feeling.
- Buy A LOT of panties! My daughter went through 43 pairs of panites the first day (we bought about 50, put them all on the table and just put them in the laundry room as they got wet, that way I was not doing laundry all day. I just did it at night)The second day she went through 15, the third day 2.
- Stick by the "one person discipline's" rule. This seemed to make it less of a "big deal" and more of an "everyday thing."
- For night training we used incontinence pads. When my daughter would wet the bed we would just change the pad, not the sheets.

Good luck and go for it!!!

I used the e-book and it worked like a charm - followed it to the T (i.e. threw out the diapers and followed all the advice/instructions for three days solid)! MANY of my friends have also used it. My son was 22 months old and one of my friends was succesfull with the method on a stubborn 3 1/2 year old boy!

There is a potty training class in town at http://www.inspiredabq.com
That might be helpful if you don't opt for the extreme three day approach.

I would suggest NOT putting her back in diapers or Pull-Ups...she's used to using them for her 'business', making it harder to use the toilet. I'm guessing the 3 day book suggests you let her run around naked for 3 day, putting her on the toilet every 15 minutes, and letting her become aware of what's happening when she pees. Yes, try and take 3 days in a row to focus on it.

Don't waste your money. You've already potty trained her if she's doing it for you. She's doing what she's doing in the daycare because she knows they will put a diaper on her. Kids are smart. I would tell her that there will be no more diapers at day care and tell the daycare that also. I there is an accident, so be it. They need to know how to deal with that. Personally, I think if they don't give in with a diaper, she'll go on the potty. Good luck and don't waste your money. She knows how to go. It just needs to be enforced at her daycare.
