Congragulations! Please don't worry. With my first pregnancy I was soooo sick. As a matter of fact, I was so sick that when I was 4 months pregnant I weighed 10 lbs. less than I did before I got pregnant. When I got pregnant the second time I felt absolutely fine the entire time. I don't know if the first time was a shock to my system or what. Just enjoy it. If there was something wrong with the baby then the dr. would know. Good luck! :)

Not being sick is not a bad thing. Illness is not a sign of pregnancy or a healthy baby. I am 11 weeks into my fifth pregnancy and have been sick since conception. with my first two i had one day of morning sickness around the sixth month. with the last one i was sick so much i lost my job. So enjoy this because you are to early to think you wont be sick but again that is truly not an indication of a problem with you baby.

Crackers and No to morning sickness tea definitely helps to take nausea away. The tea has a very mild taste. I did not have to add anything in it (sugar, cream). Just be sure not to steep it too long as it can get quite strong... unless, you like really strong tea. I would recommend giving this tea a try.

Hi S., Congrats!
My second pregnancy was completly different. I did not have any sickness at all, did not have any cravings, did not really have the sensitivtiy to smells - it was rather noneventful. I think it is God's way of taking care of us - personally when I was pregnant with my 2nd my first was 17 months - oh how awful it would have been to be experiencing morning sickness. Maybe our bodies are more used to the influx of hormones and do not react so violently with subsequent pregnancies - just a thought. Take care of yourself, the second pregancy does not allow you to focus on yourself as much but try to take it easy any way. Best wishes

Every pregnancy is different. During my first pregnancy, I had no symptoms, except for the fatigue. I never even got nauseous. It turned out to be a wonderful, easy pregnancy and I have a beautiful and perfect baby boy. There is nothing to worry about - just enjoy the fact it's easier this time around. Sounds like you deserve it from the first pregnancy.

Don't worry. You are probably so busy with your current child that you don't notice the symptoms as much. I felt awful for the first 3 months of my first pregnancy and barely noticed it during my second.

Congrats. I have 2 boys myself. I wasn't really sick with either of them. My mom told me I was prgnant with our first son. I didn't believe her, but I was. With our second, I went to bed one night feeling sick, so I didn't think much of it. My hubby said "oh, you're pregnant again." So I took a test to be sure and sure enough I was. Other than that my pregnancys were uneventful. Like you said all are different. If you are truely worried something is wrong, you should call or see your doctor. Maybe this baby wants an easy pregnancy, you never know. They have lil minds of their own. :) Good Luck with your new addition.

I am 5 weeks pregnant with my first child and have no symptoms! I'm a little moody and tired, but not as much as I expected. I actually can't sleep at night! I too am worried something is wrong, but I don't have my first ob/gyn appt. for a few weeks, so I guess I have to wait until then. I am new at this and everything I read says it's possible not to have any symptoms and that every pregnancy is different. I know it's hard - I can related. But just hang in there! as I am doing the same.

I think it's normal for a soon-to-be-mommy to worry about her baby. I have three and all three pregnancies were different. I was exhausted and starved but not sick with my first child, sick but with energy with my second, and hardly sick for the first little bit then just a little tired with my third. You just can't compare the pregnancies any more than you will be able to compare the children. They will be different! If you are really concerned, talk to your doctor. But I think you will find that your baby is a-okay. Congratulations on your second! Children are an awesome blessing!

I exeprienced something similar with my second pregnancy. With my first I had all of the "typical" signs - extreme nausea for the first 20 weeks, tender breasts, exhaustion, etc. With my second, I actually didn't think I was pregnant because I had NO symptoms except for no period. I worried a lot also but today I have a perfectly healthy 14 month old. So, it can happen.

S.,

I am a mom of 3 (4, 1 AND 5WEEKS) and with my first 2 pregnancys I had no symptoms, and easy pregnancys, except being tired sorta. With my third I was a bit queesy for a week or two around 7-8 weeks along, and an easy pregnancy the other 30+ weeks. Many women are blessed with no sickness and have perfectly healthy babies.
If your still concerned, call your OB and talk to them about your concerns. They will be able to judge your situation best.
Good Luck, and best wishes.

I also felt tired with zero sickness when I was pregnant. I mean NO SICKNESS at all...which was great! I remember reading things that said "morning sickness is a sign that the baby is very healthy" and then thinking "what does it mean if you're not sick?" So, try not to worry and just enjoy the fact that you feel great and you're not running to the restroom! :-)

Hi S.! You are still in the early stages, but I'd say you are worried for nothing. I've had five babies, and yes, each pregnancy was different. Being sick is not a sign of a healthy OR unhealthy baby. Just eat right and get some moderate exercise, as long as your doctor says it's okay. And truthfully, worrying can cause more trouble than anything else. Just enjoy your first child and your pregnancy. It's over with before you know it, and suddenly, like me, you are a grandma!

In my experience, my second pregnancy was similar to the first, but the symptoms were less. Also, the swelling was much less.

Your body remembers and doesn't overreact as much. If you were sick for 5 months lasttime, your body reacted very poorly.

Enjoy it, while it lasts. I expect morning sickness will increase in the coming weeks. 8-10 weeks were the worst for me and then it was over.

It's easy to say "every pregnancy is different" and quite another thing to believe it, I know. ;-) Sometimes it helps just to hear others with similar situations. With my first child, I had almost no symptoms until probably 12 weeks. I wasn't even tired! Throughout my pregnancy I had it pretty easy/symptom free. Which also made me nervous, by my son is 2 years old now, and perfect! With my second, I was exhausted starting probably around 8 weeks, and was so sick I ended up in the hospital for hyperemesis. Two completely different pregnancies, and two perfect children.

I will also say that I lost my very first pregnancy at 10.5 weeks, before my son, and for that pregnancy I had a lot of nausea and exhaustion, and even food aversions, starting almost immediately.

At this point, all you can do is try your best to have faith in the miracle growing inside you. It's not easy to do, I know. But you never know what symptoms are around the corner for you, so try to enjoy the relative calm while you have it. ;-)

Good luck to you! Hope this helps!

She recently had a 2nd child and had no morning sickness symptoms at all and delivered a boy - Go figure. I hear this alot. Please don't worry -just check out any fears you have with your DR so that stress won't make you ill. S.

Hi S....First off, at 6 weeks pregnant it's still early to really feel a whole lot of symptoms, if any at all. I was feeling great my whole pregnancy with my son...no morning sickness, my skin and hair looked good, etc, etc. With my daughter,I was constantly nauseus, hair falling out and skin breaking out. I am sure you are fine....just a different pregnancy. I will keep my fingers crossed for you...Good Luck and get lots of rest if you can! :)

First of all congrats!!!! I too, am in my second pregnancy and this baby is nothing like my first. Relax!!!! My first pregnancy was so easy, I wasn't sick, and I felt awesome through the entire nine months. This pregnancy is the total opposite. I'm tired all the time, I was sick the first four months, heart burn since I was four months along etc. This baby also isn't as active as my first. I talked to my doctor and he assured me that everything is ok. So, relax and enjoy this pregnancy!!!! If you still feel weird, call your doctor and talk to him/her.

Congrats! And yes...my first pregnancy, there was no nausea. No sickness. Just tired, and eventually uncomfortable. I still only had nausea for a couple of weeks with vomitting during the second pregnancy, but I think it was mainly from having some flu bug or something (although I am sure my sensitivity from it all was enhanced because I was pregnant). It is very normal to not have the nausea...be glad! I know I can't imagine being sick all the time like some mothers have been.

At your next appointment you will probably hear the heart beat and you will feel so much better. Every pregnancy is different as you said and you may not be sick even one day. I wasn't sick with my twins which my nurse said was very unusual, but my hormone levels were just fine (measured because I was high risk and on hormone supplements due to IVF, not because of any worries of miscarriage). However, I would try hard to enjoy this phase because you could get sick at any time and you aren't out of the woods for starting morning sickness yet - lots of people start having symptoms around 8 weeks.

I felt better when I was pregnant with my first baby than I did my entire life. I was energetic and happy, and I felt wonderful!
I was sicker with my second than I'd been in my whole life. I went to my Dr. and told her to either "fix it or take it out!" I couldn't even keep water down. Thankfully it only lasted three months then I just had heartburn and acid reflux, and got sick when driving. Fun!
My third was a cross between the two. I was sick some, but not too much, then I felt great for a few months, then I had acid reflux the last handful of weeks!

Funny how differenly your own body can react to the same thing a second time! :)
Congratulations!

HI,
I think you are just worried probably for no reason. My first child I had no symptoms other than being tired and so fourth but on into it my nanny's were sore but no sickness what so ever and he was a healthy baby boy. My second child was different. I was nauseated alot and believe me I new she was there. You are only 6 wks, it's really to early to tell to much. You may not have any of the same symptoms as your first child and that is ok. It doesn't mean something is wrong with the baby. You need to have a positive attitude and try not to worry so much. Everything will be ok.
Good Luck

Hi S.- if you're only 6 weeks I wouldn't really expect you to have major symptoms beyond being tired. I didn't feel a single thing out of place until 12 weeks, when EVERYTHING out of the book hit me at once. hi S.,

I think that everything is ok. I also was sick when I was pregnant with my daughter. And I could not stand any smell from the kitchen, I had vomiting few times during the day. The point is that my "sickness" started in the beginning of the seventh week.
My sister, who have two kids, with the first had to stay in bed until the end of the sixth month, with the second one had no " sickness" and was able to work almost until due date.
So, don't worry.
Best wishes to you and your family:)

Think of it as a nice break. I was sick the first half of my pregnancy with my first and with the second I felt fine. It could be a combination of things, your body is more used to the hormones the second time a round, you are having a baby of a different sex (different hormone mix) or perhaps you are so focused on the day to day things having a first that you don't notice much. No matter what the reason it is NO indication that your pregnancy isn't going well. Just consider yourself lucky and enjoy feeling well while you can.

Congrats on number 2!

First of all Congratulations!

Yes it is normal to feel like this , no matter how many pregnancies you have you always worry that something is wrong until you hear the heartbeat/have ultrasound/feel baby move etc.

My first 2 pregnancies were both uneventful , no feeling nauseus , no tale tale signs except a pregnancy test & I worried that I imagined it and I wasn't pregnant at all! My 3rd pregnancy completely different and was sick from weeks 6-16 and I still worried that something was wrong because I was so sick.

So just relax and enjoy being pregnant & believe me there is still time for the nausea/sickness to start!

All the best

With my first pregnancy the only 'symptoms' I had were that my period stopped, and I got fatter. That's it, no other types of side effects whatsoever, right up until his birth, and he was/is a very healthy boy. On my 2nd pregnancy, I threw up constantly, was constipated to the point of projectile vomiting, had to go through multiple gestational diabetes tests because of looking like I was possibly in the danger zone (didn't have it though, thankfully), it was simply a miserable pregnancy, right up until his birth, and he was/is a very healthy boy. Like you said, every pregnancy is different! Enjoy having one that's not so stressful!
