Hi moms...
So my 2 year old has had very many viral infections in the last 2,3 months... i feel like she's been sick every other week.... i wash hands, i sanitize, i dont take her places where i know sick kids are... In the last week, she's had Strep, plus ROSIOLA on top of that... Today, after finishing her antibiotics, she's got a fever... AGAIN!!!! took her to a doctor, he said nothing i can do, viruses are everywhere, but i feel like its tooooo much... What can i do??? What can it be??? how do i fix it or make her more immune to it??? i'm so tired of having a feverish kid, and she's just sooo miserable, i feel so bad for her... HELP ME...

What can I do next?

My son had something similar at that age. I could track the illness. I knew that on Sat. the fever would start. Jump to 103, on Monday it would turn into an ear infection and by Tues. I'd be at the dr. for meds. Every 3 weeks for a year from 1 1/2y to almost 3y old.

Finally I started tracking his food intake and activities. I finally found what I thought was a pattern related to food. Then he broke out in hives! I took him to the allergist, told them my theory that I thought he was allergic to pears. (hubby thought i was nuts!) . They skin tested him and he broke out in hives!
We removed pears and pear juice from his diet and the illnesses stopped.

My daughter last summer had 3 ear infections in 6 weeks just as we were going on a trip to FL. Started tracking her and realized she'd been eating a LOT of watermellon. Stopped the watermellon and the sinus infections/ear infections stopped.

Just a thought.

Start her on Immune Boosting Vitamins, Flinstone's make one. Also how about giving her a teaspoon of LOCAL Honey everyday and try eliminating highly processed foods from her diet. Also over cleaning can make things worse, not saying a house should be filthy but bleach is really not a good thing.

Both my kids were sick October-March from 0 to 2 or 2/12 and then poof, they were heathly after that. She is building up her immunity and once she starts school, she will be one of the one's that is NEVER sick. At least that's haow it's gone for me. I have a 3 & a 6 year old.

does she go to Daycare?
If so, then they often get sick from there.

My oldest was sick all the time at that age. Now that he is older, he is rarely ill... I figure he had it all when he was little. My youngest was never sick when she was little, and she's had quite a time of it this winter...
YMMV

So, I got from your post that you don't really go anywhere. Your child is getting sick over and over and over. I think that says that somewhere that your child is touching is covered with viral germs. Maybe they are touching the remote that dad comes in every day and uses without washing his hands first, maybe mom is talking on the phone and baby is touching it later and then touching her mouth. It could also be that the virus is just not finished and still rampant.
