Both of my girls had a problem at night. My lifesaver was an auto mirror that played music and lit up. Here's a link that shows a picture.

Hi mamas - I guess my title says it all but my 2 month old really, really dislikes being in the carseat and after a few minutes, will scream and cry (unless the car is moving). She rarely sleeps in it and looks like she is always struggling to get out. Anyone have any tips? We tried putting her in there 1) during waketime and also 2) when she's tired to help her like it but both didn't work. Help!

Could she be to hot?? Is her head supported at a good enough angle?? Sunlight shinging in her eyes?? does she tolerate it if you have her in the car seat in your house???
That's about all i got. I like the music idea.
when my daughter wigged out on a long car trip, i sat in the back with her, that helped a little. but only do that if you have a chauffer;)
My now 14 month old daughter used to do the same thing when she was first born. She would scream every time we were in the car and she was in her carseat. Just make sure the straps aren't too tight (but tight enough!). My daughter just eventually grew out of it. It took few months but now she loves being in the car!
She's just gonna have to get used to it. Maybe I'm missing something but if she's OK when the car is moving--where is the problem? Like at redlights or something?
Try playing some soothing classical music on the radio while you're driving.
Also, O. warning, before attaching anything like a mirror, toy, etc, please keep in mind that anything unsecured in a car can become a flying missile in the unfortunate event of a crash. Try to keep everything stowed in the trunk if you can. Maybe a soft toy or two.
I don't write this to scare you but even a cell phone can crack a child's skull in the event of a crash, if it becomes airborne. Please be careful!
