The misses dept. at Kohls has some cute stuff... they're having a sale right now too.
Hey Mama's,
I need your help. My son is almost a year old and we will be having his party this Saturday and I'm wanting to look nice but not dressy. We are having a Bar-B-Q at our house Saturday Evening.
Here is my problem. When I got prego with Trenton I was only 114 pounds with a 34 C chest, I ended up weighing more than 163 when he was born. I have finally gotten back down to 120 pounds with a 34DD chest, but I can't seem to find the right clothing for me. I used to wear cute little shirts from American Eagle or Hollister. I find now that most of those shirts aren't mom friendly for me. I need some advise as to what kind of shirt to buy for the party. I was planning on just wearing blue jean or green khaki shorts. I normally wear fitted t-shirts or shirts that draw attention away from my chest.

After I had my daughter I started wearing a lot more Ann Taylor. I shop at the Ann Taylor Loft, where they always have great sales, and you can get cute but casual clothes. Good luck and I hope Trenton has a GREAT Birthday!
After I had my first I was officially OUT of the "junior" departments (and stores like AE or Hollister who cater to "junior" bodies...). Your size is similar to mine -- 115 before baby, then 120 a year later (same thing after baby #2 also). My chest stayed the same though (34C).
I have good luck at Old Navy and The Gap for casual stuff and Ann Taylor for dressier things. Have you tried department stores? It's harder to find "cute" things in the misses department, but it's possible. Misses are cut for a more "grown up" figure :-). Unless there are junior plus sizes, you won't find any tops with room enough for your chest without going to the Misses department.
Liz Claiborne actually has the best fit of anyone. You just have to hunt really hard to find something that doesn't make you look like you're 50.
Good luck and hope the party is fun!
Have you tried NY & Company? It's supposed to cater to the twenty something, early 30's crowd. I loved getting the shorts from there, not too short like junior shorts, but not quite misses. They also had "skorts" which, I have to say is great when you want to look cute and not show your "stuff" while picking up the baby. Hope this helps!
Try Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Loft, J. Jill.
